stay in high school. your opportunities will be greater. With a GED, you must score higher on the ASVAB, your job choices will be limited( even if you do score high enough to get a certain career field, it may be blocked from you simply by virtue of the GED). GED holders do NOT get bonuses, and if by some miracle they do, they are smaller than if you were a HS graduate. Additionally, while you do qualify for the GI Bill, some of the other programs you would not.

FINISH HIGH SCHOOL. It's two years either way. Might as well prove to the military you can stick it out.

Bonuses remember on the call for there is for a particular MOS. 88m = truck driving force. There would have been a greater robust call for for drivers at that 2nd. That bonus can bypass up or down as meditated via the call for for greater drivers. He should additionally be entitled to the comparable advantages as the different enlisted individual. My suggestion could be to your cousin to speak to as many human beings as he can approximately what the militia has to furnish. If he's choosing an MOS based off the bonus that may not be a stable theory. evaluate an mos that makes you pretty marketable once you get out or will aid you to get greater rank in case you agree directly to stay in after your first enlistment in over. additionally be careful with recruiters. some are trustworthy and have self belief in what they do, yet others are purely searching for numbers. Your cousin is signing the subsequent 8 years (all enlistments are 8 years) of his existence to the army motivate him to develop into nicely counseled.
