heres why you should be careful about what you read from fruitcakes who write this type of crap.
1) they have killed innocent civilians but never face any sort of justice.

Blackwater has killed innocent civilians, but never intentionally. The terrorists set their ambushes so that innocents are certain to be in the crossfire. The terrorists do murder innocent civilians intentionally.

2) blackwater has claimed that they make about 10% profit. on their billion dollar contract, thats 100 million dollars of your tax money they get to keep. Another 900 million for the bullets and helicopters and mercenaries.

Blackwater employees are not mercenaries. Mercenaries are paid to fight wars. Blackwater employees are paid to provide security for people in Iraq, much like the Secret Service provides security for the president. Because of the situation in Iraq, this job is very, very dangerous. Blackwater employees are paid very, very well to face this danger. Blackwater employees are usually former military from special operations units. They are very highly trained and professional. The several that I know are really good people, some with wife and children.

3) it is the privatization of the military. instead of having an army/navy/airforce go in, just send in blackwater (or other security company). They can commit all sorts of horrible acts, then just leave. Nobody gets in trouble

No - It is a security contractor, much like the Secret Service providing security for the president. They do not commit all sorts of horrible acts. They are under constant threat of ambush by an enemy that will place innocent people in the line of fire and twist the truth into propaganda just like this fruitcake bigdumbnut.

4) a blackwater member got drunk and murdered a security guard of the iraqi vice president. He was fired. Blackwater then made sure he got out of iraq before he could face justice.

The word murder was used by a person from another security firm. The killing was accidental. The Blackwater employee has lost his security clearance and no longer works for Blackwater.

5) the owner of blackwater is married to the sister of dick devos. the devos family donates ALOT of money to the republican party. ALOT. The devos family is heir to the amway fortune. They are big republican bankrollers.

basically, blackwater was able to get huge government contracts because they are connected to the republican party. They go oversees and do whatever is needed (criminal many times). They face no justice because they dont have to answer to anyone.

It's ok to disagree with republicans. I'm not a republican. But to spread baseless propoganda in the attempt to discredit republicans is just pure rubbish. If you can't discredit them with solid facts, just shut the **** up.

Blackwater, USA is the largest mercenary business in the world, and it's easily capable of single-handedly overthrowing half of the world's governments. They've been in Iraq and Afghanistan since the very beginning of the fights and before. The main reason is because our army is heavily watched by the media while these guys can do a lot without the press hearing about it, but the problem is that when the news finds out, information gets either distorted or manipulated. For example (this is real) in about 2004, a Blackwater sniper was accused of shooting Iraqi civilians (about 10 or 12) and was temporarily put under questioning, but after examining a recording being made by his spotter, the dead bodies that "lacked firearms" were scavenged by (other insurgents) before the clean-up crews arrived.

If a mercenary does get suspected of breaking a law, they technically CAN be smuggled out of the country and brought back to the US to stand trial if he or she is a US citizen.

Due to its liberal and pro-terror view on Iraq, the medias will do anything to bring down those that are supporting Bush and the USA. However, the weapon smuggling occurances over the past couple years was accurately stated (or planted) and Blackwater suffered from it. All of their employees taking contracts are former military and have an honorable discharge, which further contributes to the likelyhood of their innocence, but I still wouldn't assume that they're angels.

witwwats is right: there's not much real information available and what is available is being distorted.

Here's what I can say with some certainty:
Blackwater is a private security company that has a contract with US State Department to protect our diplomats in Iraq. Because is protected from Iraqi laws and because they are not part of the military they are not under military law either. Blackwater has been involved in a lot of shootings and other incidents that may be construed as crimes however no-one from Blackwater was prosecuted in Iraq or in the States, though some people were fired.

In the latest incident, Iraqi government says that 17 civilians were killed and that Blackwater employees started the shooting. They want Blackwater out Iraq and millions paid to the victims.

There has not been any trials. Iraqi investigators say that Blackwater is at fault for the latest shooting but it's hard to believe that their investigation was completely objective. That goes double for the investigation Congress conducted.

Hope this helps.

Blackwater is a private company that has people (civilians) in Iraq to protect contractors that are there to rebuild. The issue is that there was fire, and a few Iraqis died. Blackwater says they did no wrong. The Iraqis are making a fuss, saying it was unprovoked. So it's being investigated and in the mean time the controls are a little tighter over their doings.

blackwater is a private contractor. They are hired by the government as security for convoys/diplomatic protection/whatever. They are mostly ex-lawenforcement or ex military. They are not however, under the laws of the US or the Iraq government. They are also not under the laws of the military. they are kind of free to do whatever they want to do. And they get paid a lot of money (your tax dollars) to do the job the military could do.

heres why you should know them.
1) they have killed innocent civilians but never face any sort of justice.

Incomplete information as yet.

You will have ranters that absolutely understand how guilty Bush is before the evidence is in.

A sad statement about our integrity when you are guilty by media.
