I'm graduating in spring 2008 with a BA in CJ. I would love to join the FBI/DEA/Secret service with in the next 5 yrs. I'm aware of the special critical skills one needs such as: accounting/language/computer science. Sadly, i do not fit into that criteria and I can't afford, being a civilian, to further my education with a masters. My plan is to join one of the branches to gain valuable military experience that would make me a canidate for a government job. In addition to enlisting which branch would be better for being able to continue my education while in service. I currently work as a pharmacy technician. I would love to work as a special agent or intel in the military and as a government job.I hope i have given enough information for those who are trying to guide me through my inquires. Any suggestions?

Thank You i appreciate it in advance.

If you wanted to go into the military, what branch would you pick and why?

U.S. Army
Army National Guard
U.S. Navy
U.S. Air Force
U.S. Marine Corps
U.S. Coast Guard

Personally for me it's the Navy

The amount of birth defects in Iraq has gone up by something like 600% since the first gulf war, and yet the US military still used depleted uranium. How can this be justified?

Im interested in getting a perspective FOR the use of this ammunition that doesn't involve - "cause we want to kill lots of those sand *******" which is a pretty pathetic argument.

OK, my husband is in the Army Reserves and recieved a call asking if he would be interested in a stateside deplyment. I have not heard this term before, and I have been around the military my whole life. I understand the two seperately, but not as one term.
Is this a common term for the reserve, and what does it mean?
Please List any sources you may have since I recieved so many different answers yesterday.

I am 17 years old, male, and in the Army Reserves. When i graduate high school, my M.O.S will be Infantrymen (11-B), but for now, I am a Chemical specialtist (74-D), this is just for the time being. Anyway, at the recruiting center i attend my Future Soldier Program, 5 of us were selected to go to QWEST field in Seattle, before the SeaHawks game, and march out onto the field to give my oath (again). The stadium is going to be filled with THOUSANDS of people, and be broadcasted LIVE on Television. WOW!!! What the hell, i meen, damn!!!

I go to a military college, and I have been learning army battle drills 1-6. Are these even taught in basic or infantry AIT anymore? Most of the operations today are MOUT.

I'd like to know whether successful applicants for US Navy, Army, Air Force Reserve) are required to undergo training in boot camp, or is that only for those aiming to serve as soldiers? 8 of us are about to submit our application forms as reservists but this thought is keeping us all at bay. Any ideas? Thanks!

Include written tests, training courses, training periods/schedule, location of training and anything else you know about the AH-64D Apache Longbow.

I'd prefer that you leave a link from which your information came from, or information from an actual active or retired pilot or gunner.
