For those who have served in combat, what is war like? I am in my early twenties, have never been in the military and do to medical conditions I could never really serve. I have a lot of close friends of who are currently serving or have served in the Marine Corps. With the wars going on, I find myself stopping at times thinking to myself, These are my friends over there, the kids I grew up with, kids just like me. So what is war like and how has it changed you?

Hi, thank you for reading my question. Me and my friends ambition is to join the Marine Corps. We have done anything possible to be able to qualify. The only thing that is wrong is that she is an immigrant. She has been here for 9 years. Do you need to be a United States citizen to be able to be one of the few and the proud? Please, help me. Thank you so much.

AHFH in Hawaii is just awful. They gave me a mailbox key that didn't work then tried to charge me $25 to change the lock. After 4 phone calls and alot of bitching they agreed to do it no charge.
Now, we have been living here since May and we have had people out here 4 times to figure out what is wrong with our downstairs toilet. They could never figure out why it overflows all the time. Today I demanded that the man look inside the toilet for a blockage and he found a large plastic thing. He says he can tell by looking at it that it was recently flushed and that we are going to be billed for his visit.

I am going to lose my mind on someone!

Hi I was wondering can a MEPS doctor disqualify you for false reasons. I was wondering this because my packet was sent down to MEPS and was unjustified to take a physical, because of interior derangment (unstable joint), so I didnt even see a doctor. To me thats defamation of character, becuase he didnt even look at me. So I went to my doctor and phyical therapist (by the way I torn my ACL and had corrective surgery on it 4 years ago). Well my therapist and doctor said that did not have a deranged joint and I was given a test using a machine to determine if the joint was lose its not. So my recruiter sent it over the MEPS doctor the naval bureau of medicine to look at it. And my recruiter said if they say the same thing we can fight it because I wasnt even given a physical. So I'm wondering will I probably get to take the physical now since I have documentation of proof that I dont have a unstable joint. Thank you sorry for it being so long.

India is fast developing economy . Already it equals to European Union's combined economy, and ever growing.

India is a nuclear power and is having nuclear weapons with it and is capable of further development in this sector.

Hence the question.

What do you think about this?? http://www.military.com/NewsContent/0,13319,152237,00.html
I’ll summarize for all you lazy people, basically the article says that the US Army is extending its Basic Training from 9 to 10 weeks for all five training stations starting Nov. 9. I think this is a good thing but the Army should extend it Basic at least 2 to 3 weeks, at least for the Infantry and Mechanized Infantry. So that way they can be sure that those soldiers have learned there tasks and have more time to training in urban combat. What do you think??

Should I join the American Communist Party?
I realize that its a lost cause. But I do support China. And the way I see it, America is so corrupt and decadent, that if I try to change things "inside the system", I'll either lose out to people more cruel than me, or become so evil myself that I won't stand for anything.

Better to be a man of good character fighting for a lost cause than a successful goon. Look at all of history's heroes with the exception of militrary men like Napoleon, none of them played inside the sytem even when thier cause seemed dire and hopeless.

I'm not looking for a history lesson here. I know the "Dirty little secrets" of communism, like the back of my hand. But I support the communist Part of china. What I'm looking for is philsophical feedback on what is a better life spent. Fighting inside the system hoping to work your way up and make a difference or fighting outside the system for a "pure and noble" cause with no chance of victory?

The CPUSA is the ONLY party that supports the government in China.

Everyone seems to have some sort of complaint about the world. Most, complain, and put down the millitary and president, and dont do anything about their convictions. Dont like the president? Go Vote, or run yourself. Dont Like Politicians? Dont listen to em'. Dont like the war on "oil"? Ride a bike. Dont like America? Sign up and earn your right to b*tch about it! To the people who follow through with your convictions, and feelings, I commend you, to those who set on the couch all day doing nothing but gripe about everything, guess what? Your either part of a solution or part of a problem. Liberal, and dont like conservatives? get over it, or do something about it. Conservative and dont like liberals? Get over it or do something about it! Rascist? Noone said you had to like any race, but just shut up and dont force your tripe on the rest of us sane people! Im sorry guys, but am I the only one who sees that the way to peace is not by two sides dividing and griping about the other? ????

It's nothing new, I realize that, but what's up with it? For instance, let's say special forces killed 17 insurgents in a pre-dawn raid outside of Tikirit. So then I hear some dude at Lowe's talking about he "we kicked their asses". We did? Or were you watching Springer on your recliner with a lap full of Cheetos? I understand the vets who served in the past talking about it, they fought and they get it. But does it seem right that while he gears up for a game of paintball, Johnny Wifebeater who didn't enlist because he didn't like being told what to do, compares himself to a Delta Force operator working in an Afghani village?

For example...For the Marines, they call you a Marine.

But what about the Navy, Air Force and Army?

What do you call an active Navy, Air Force and Army man?
What are the appropriate titles for each?

I'm enlisted and not leaving for a year, but my son will only be 2 and a half when I leave for 5 months of training, how do other military moms deal with seperation like that? I'm scared he won't remember me, when his father left when he was 1 for BCT and we went down to see him, he didn't remember him very well. I know this is something I want to do, but leaving my son with out him being able to understand and process what is going on is going to be hard. I can push the date I leave back, but it's a hard MOS to get into and if I don't go when the spot opens up I might not be able to go at all. I've been pondering other MOS's and they are a few I would get Permenant Party Status with, but would my son be able to move with me? I don't know if the Army would let us.

The Drudge Report ( http://www.drudgereport.com/flash8.htm ) has reported that the "Baghdad Diarist" reports on malfeasance and worse by our troops were total fiction. It would seem that they along with Media Matters will stop at nothing to push their agenda of destroying America.
