I have bad credit and owe some debt. I am working on it and trying to pay it off. My boyfriend is in the Air Force and if we get married would they hold it against him? I know the military frowns on debt but mine would have been aquired prior to our marriage. Some of it is when I was younger and just stupid and the rest happened during my first marriage.

Although russia military budget is smaller that france and germany youd still expect russia to win a war.

I think you have to look at more than just military spending and reginal allies and economic factors are also important

1)America-for at least the next 5 years economy is suffering and voters are getting very active in anit-war

2)england-Strong alliance with USA latest state of teh art equipment well trained and experinced army has over 200years of experieces large military budget but stretched and scotland moving out of union may weaken england will time at top is linked with that of usa

3)China-lacks real experience and has not much experience on fighting could be major threat in future
4)Russia-genral population is poor but living standards are increasing but has old soviet equipment will fight for top spot in future has booming economy
5)Isreal-heavily funded by usa and allies but as usa suffers so will isreal as middle eastern countires unite isereal will suffe

I understand the USS Missori, albeit the US Navy warship the Japanese signed the WW 11 Pacific Surrender, had sister ships?

As a foreign national my questions needing clarifications are:

1) How many were built, what did they weigh, where were they built? and their names?

2) Were they identical or difered in design?

3) What was their respective speeds and armenents and what was their guns size and range?.

4) None of this type / class of ship were even built or commisioned at the time of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour?

5) One of their class was sunk during WW11?! Is this correct?

6) Did they carry aircraft for obsevation etc.

7) What if anything comprised their escoprt battle formation / protection from enemy attack.

8) Which one, if any, was superior in weight, speed and arms?

9) What numbers of crew did they carry

10) How many survive to day? If so, are they still in commission or museums? and where can they be found?

I am in Army ROTC and I am 2 years away from picking a branch of the Army I want to work in.

I am leaning towards Aviation in order to become a helicopter pilot.

My question is: Is there any way a helicopter pilot can escape safely is something goes wrong. I know fighter planes have the eject button, but I am almost 100% certain that helicopters don't.

Also, does the Army have planes or do they only have helicopters?

Thanks!

Like I know it's about intelligence, but there's only so much you can do with a computer... so I'm sure it's true that you put an agent or a team to gather intel or do rescue missions or covert ops... but the cia.gov is kind of vague on "clandestine" as expected.. its not necessarily advertised what these "secret agents" do

What do you say to the people who believe this to be true? My husband is Army and we are stationed in HI right now. When I see these protestors holding up signs on tv it makes me feel ill.
These people HATE the military but they reap all of the benefits that the military provides.

I come from a strongly patriotic family. I have had family that have fought in every american war since WW1. I have a female cousin who just went to afganistan and I started to think. I really dont like women in the military. I understand in times of war maybe as nurses or other jobs away from action, but I dont think women should be on the front lines or honestly in harms way at all. You may think what Im saying is sexest, but my reasoning has nothing to do with 1950s logic "womens place is in the kitchen". No my opinion comes more from one word Death. The truth is I am more comfertble if one of my male cousins die in war more than my female cousin. I think that most people think this, but am not sure. I meen if see an image of a fallen male soldier I feel proud of his sacrifise for my safety, but if I see a image of a dead women it make me angry. What do you think?

Since, you can use limited characters for the headline of your question,that's why had to select such an immature headline for this question just to get 'QUICK ATTENTION'

***The real question is why both India & Pakistan can't realize that the amount of money that they are wasting on defence budgets can so easily & successfully be used to solve so many problems of our people.

India is spending way too much money on defence just to compete with China. Pakistan is no competition now bcz their defence budget is very 'DWARF' as compared to India's foolish defence budget,

Isn't it enough now? We have enough weapons now to take control of Pakistan then why are we bothering about USA & China.

It seems to me that India now is in a serious mood of competiting with US,Russia & China in defence department.
Is it required? Is it that important for us to use our precious money for buying weapons instead of helping our poor people.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The recent article in the New York Times on India’s defense has some eye-popping numbers. The main news event is, India is looking to buy new fighter planes, and may spend as much as $10 billion on them. American arms manufacturers are chomping at the bit, especially as there are probably other big arms purchases in the pipeline. (For reference, last year’s entire defense budget is between $20-25 billion, according to this source; it may be an underestimate, however.)
I love my country and want to serve in the military. I have recently met with recruiters from several different branches to consider all my options. Each one has given me Standard Form 86, Questionnaire for National Security Positions. However, I do not want a job that requires a clearance and this form is pretty in-depth and time consuming and I don't want to waste my time retrieving all the info if I don't even need a clearance. The recruiters say that I have to complete it but the instruction page in the very front of the packet clearly states "Complete this form only after a conditional offer of employment has been made for a position requiring a security clearance. Giving us the information we ask for is voluntary." Is this form required from me if I want to enlist?
At the end of WW11 many nations disbanded their battle hardened Jungle troops who served in the various African, Asian and Pacific compaings. It predominately being the still intact British Empire that retained its Jungle troops comprised of various commonwealth units in-concert with its own.
The Malayan war necessitating their active deployment in a bitter jungle war of almost 30 years.
At the same time Indo China tensions mounted leading to the demise of the French in the 50's. Thus the foundations of the Vietnam War were laid and unknowingly not even remotely considered.
Deterioration erupted into the Vietnam War & America hasted to the rescue bereft of its WW11 Jungle Combat Veterans Many nations remained on the sidelines.
Appealing for help the USA's WW11 former allies offered Instructors, small troop contingents to initially retrain US soldiers in Jungle warfare.
The US Military still refuses to acknowledge this and the service of countless FN's. Why?
