I wasn't impressed then and I am not impressed today. In 2003 you placed more value on your loans and exclusive oil contracts with Saddam than any responsibility to the Iraqi people or for your relationship with the United States.
Now that you are worried about Iran you are pretending to like us so you can get us to protect you.
Personally, I feel that the US should tell you that we owe you nothing.
BTW - the French were not right about the war.

nope. the French are just looking out for their sweet contracts with oil producing countries. The French lack any conviction to do what is right. The French lack the courage to take actions to protect themselves. The French accuse the US of making this a war of oil, and yet, thats exactly why the French sit there, scared of the terrorists- because they depend on oil from the MIddle East Countries too. Unlike the French though, the US isn't willing to sit by and let them walk all over us. So if my opinion has changed at all, it has become even more disgusted and disappointed with the French.
All the best,
J

The media is a powerful source of propaganda and the government can use it to make people believe what they want them to. So, I am sure that a lot of people's opinions have changed because of that. I am in my 20's so a lot of my opinions have changed recently due to in-depth study of political and world issues that I did not know about before. So, yes, my opinion on France has changed but so have all of my opinions of the world that I know and it is not based much on what I hear in the news. I don't know if the French were right about the war because I do not know their true reasons for not wanting it - all I know is what the U.S. was saying so I can't answer that part of the question. :)

My opinion of france has changed from being a military ally to being a corporate trader in the middle east afraid of upsetting the contracts they have developed with the leaders of the middle east.
Neither bad nor good, but they certainly weren't "right" about anything except watching out for their own financial future.

My opinion of the French changed after hurrricane Katrina. There was a reason they only built on the French Quarter when they owned Louisiana.
Something about not wanting to live in a fishbowl.

i think the steriotypes are hillarious cause they're kind of true. like they're horrible at war (which is why they need a foriegn legion). and they love to talk about themselves. and it's kind of weird how they're on the UN security council yet California has a bigger economy. it should be the US Russia China England and California.

You let a bullet fly at them and they will be waving their undergarments and dropping their weapons running the other way!
