They comprised men and ex soldiers from many countries. Many having served in WW11. U name a country & its Nationals were in Vietnam! Almost all courtesy of the Australian Army who acted for the British and Commonwealth Govts to supply Jungle Vets and countless others to the US Military. Politically the UK could not be openly involved i.e. in major debt to the US from WW11 lend lease, first Palestine and then the Malaya War on its doorstep which the UK public took great exception to and would not support the Mayalayan campaign. Both Palestine & the Malayan campaign virtually following on from WW11 and the UK public were sick and weary of war!

Who are you referring to? Australia, New Zealand, S. Korea, The Philippines?? They were all there too.

Direct US involvement began in Jan 1955. Pretty sure there were a few lifers still around from WWII then and well into the 60's. Prior to that the US funded 80% of the cost of the French involvment. If they offered training why would you except that from the guy's that got their butts kicked?

So who was left out of the history books??
