yeah, you have to pass the asvab and get a 108 on the gt line score. thats for the army anyways, can't speak for the navy or air force.

No, you can't.
It's because they won't let you join with just a GED anymore. If you get 15+ credit hours from a community college or university.. That in addition to the GED will get you into the military. Then you have to have a high enough ASVAB score, and even then you have to look at the line scores, which will likely be different for the different branches, so you'd have to get that information from a recruiter from whichever you were planning on joining.

Sure. I knew one guy who was a Navy Corpsman for many years and all he had was a GED. He even got a commission from the ranks. I went through intitial officer training with him.

difficult, but not entirely impossible. Army is about your only chance though. AF and Navy take almost NO GEDs each year, and the Marines use Navy Corpsmen.

you would have to score higher on the ASVAB though, and still otherwise qualify for it.

the military will train you for anything you want to do. Especially medical staff a healthy army is a deadly army after all.

Yep, the military helps people get their GED's all the time and as long as you score enough on ASVAB test you'll be just fine.

Yes. But I would suggest taking CLEP tests. You can get up to 2 years of college credits and increase your opportunities considerably. Costs are very low and available through any junior college.

Sure it's possible, all you have to do is pass the training that is required of a medic.

absolutly. score high enough on the ASFAB to qualify for the job, make it through basic, go to the school. You will be given everything you need to be successful. It is up to you to go after it.
