No. For the past 4 years I have worked with young airmen with all sorts of reading issues, low reading ability to low comprehension to severe dyslexia. They were all doing fine, until it came time to start doing major reading for their CDC's and for their promotion tests.
We had several that were able to overcome their learning disability through various tools, such as audio tapes, colored page screens, etc. Only one actually ended up being discharged because he could not pass his CDC's. (They even gave him extra study time and extra tries.. just not able).
All of that said, hubby is also dyslexic and currently waiting on the results for E9 promotions. It can be done if there is drive and determination.
Good luck!!

Dyslexia is only disqualifying if it interfered with school or employment. If you can show passing academic and employment involvement over the past 12 months, without any academic or work place accomodation for your dyslexia, you are qualified for entry.

If you were in a position to call in grid coordinates to be rescued or direct ordnance, artillery, firepower towards the enemy! YOU might just have a "problem" to say the least!

Yes they would because it would become evident even if you didn't tell them first time you had to read a duty roster or orders or was told to prepare a block of instruction. It would be criminal of you to go in without informing them of it as you could be risking the lives of your fellow seaman.

No, because they don't give you a test for that. As long as you can pass the physical, you are in, so long as you keep your mouth shut about it.
