my husband is in bootcamp now... go see his/her recruiter. or contact his/her parents, they should have gotten it. or sometimes if you go to a local red cross, they can find this out for you.

however, if you write to him/her, just remember that they can only write once a week (on sundays)... so if you write him a letter on a friday, they do not get any mail on weekends, and he will not receive it until that monday. then he cannot write until the next sunday. so it could be 2 weeks before you receive anything in response. and that's if he/she gets time and doesn't get into any trouble. then they cannot write.

much thanks to your friend!

As soon as your friend checks into reception, they will make him write home with the address...contact his "home" person--parents, girlfriend, wife--as the case may be...in the meantime, there isn't much you can do...the military is too complicated to send an "in care of" kind of letter and too private to post that kind of information online...just be patient and wait for him to write home with his correct address

You'll be given the address eventually...start writing your letter now so when you have the address, there's something to send immediately :)

nope. you will have to wait until he writes you back with his Divison. with literally thousands of kids going through each week, it would never find him unless you have the full and complete address.
