a bunch of 'hippies' playing dead in front of the Capitol
Building...emergency personnel will be scraping their

I would like to quote 2 incidences.
1. Two Pakistan trained terrorist entered Akshardham temple and first killed 35 innocent devotees. Later on "highly skilled" black cat commandos of Indian army took over the temple and started fighting with the terrorists. It took them an overnight get rid of them with a loss of 2 very experienced soldiers. How does it justify that you have fully trained units. you still need a full night to kill 2 semiskilled terrorists with a loss of 2 of your soldiers.
2. Pakistan army along with terrorists take over part of Kargil. Fully trained Indian army fights with them for nearly one month and finally push them out of the territory with a loss of 250 of the own soldiers and with loss of heavy ammunition. On the other hand US army defeated Iraq during first world war with out loss of more than 10 of its soldiers without even entering Iraq.
Israel is sourrounded by 7 arabian countries and still occupying territories of atleast 3 of them.

A recruiter approached me recently and got me into his office and now i wanna join and i am serious about it and they keep pushing me to join right now. i went through the process of enlisting, sorta, they wanted me to take the ASVAB, drug test and swear in and i got them to delay a week but thats not enuf time to be clean. I afraid if i say i dont want to right now, they wont take me later. I am done with the drug for good but i just dont have the time to get clean. I could get fake pee and test negative join and be done with the drug, but idnt if they search me or make me pee while being watched. Plus not to mention thats not honorable and its not a good start to joining. I dont know what to do.

Ok, I posted a question about where to find any Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran memorabilia for my husbands birthday who is veteran of this war and is still military. I just wanted to know what fellow supporters thought of this sad response to my question, it's from ndgbill

GOD BLESS THE OVER 400,000 INNOCENT IRAQI CIVILIANS THAT HAVE BEEN SLAUGHTERED AS A RESULT OF THE US WAR ATROCITY IN IRAQ ESPECIALLY THAT IRAQI WOMAN CAUGHT ON CAMERA SWEEPING UP THE BODY PARTS OF HER 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER FOR BURIAL.

THESE 400,000 INNOCENT CHILDREN OF GOD WOULD BE ALIVE TODAY IF THE US HAD NOT CHOSEN TO PERSUE IT'S LIE BASED ILLEGAL WAR.

I realize to people like you these people are not even human but only COLATERAL DAMAGE AS THE US MILITARY AND THE US GOVERNMENT REFER TO THEM,but to the rest of us THEY ARE HUMAN AND THEIR SLAUGHTER DEMANDS RECOGNITION !!!

I wan't to go to basic in pretty good shape.Enough shape so I don't have to worry about being 100% physicaly stressed out so I can focus on the task at hand.Let me know if you think this is enough to get prepared for basic training in the army.Ok in my workout I do an every other day routine.one day I do 200 push ups,200 sit ups,and 100 toe touches,and usually light cardio like a mile walk or the stationairy bike something light nothing too high powered.The next day I Either do 30-60's(sprint 30 seconds jog 60) or a mile or 2 mile run I will chose which one I feel like doing that day.Then the next day i just rotate.Like i'll do push ups and situps and that type of thing one day then run the next.Do you think this is enough??.Any tips you can give me to work on getting in better shape before I go Like what will the p.t. be like when I get in the Army? how many miles a day etc...And should I be doing push ups and sit ups everyday? will i be doing them everday in basic?.

I just received an e-mail from a relative who has a friend who enlisted in the Army in May 2007. He was then deployed July 7, and was KIA on Sept. 5. Is this possible? Can the Army deploy someone SO QUICKLY? What happened to training? They think that 1 month of training is enough before shipping them off to war? Any Army vets, please tell me that this is a fabricated story. I mean, the story claims that this recruit DESPERATELY wanted to go to Iraq at the soonest time possible, but I thought Basic Training was longer than 1 month.

The older Vets in my family keep asking when I will be getting mine from the Army . I told them I am not sure the Army does that any more. I know I will get my final DD214 but what about an actual certificate?

They are clamoring for total troop withdrawal but I.d like to know how soon and how fast would they like to withdraw the troops. Also, what contingency if any are they prepared to implement in case Iran takes control of Iraq or, if Al-Qaeda takes full control of Iraq and continue to attack US interest at home and abroad.

I really want to join the military and serve my country but my family does not think I should. they keep telling me that I'll get killed and I should just go to college and I do want to go to college but maybe later.
Now I would just enlist if I could but my problem is that when I graduate I wont be 18 until November 2008 and they told me if I dont go to college then I will get kicked out the house and I wont have anywhere to go because the rest of my family is in Michigan and we're in Tennessee.
And I dont want to get killed if I go even though the military is where I'm going and it could happen
So I was wondering should I just join the Navy or the Airforce instead of the Army Reserve to ease their minds and is it possible to enlist at 17 without parental consent.

I was wondering when will he be done with "A" school and what happens after that. He signed up for 4 years so what will he be going through? Does everyone get leave during Christmas time bescause we're planning on getting married in December, and by summer I can move to where ever he is stationed at after I finish school.
