What were the sufferance physics and morals of the soldiers? (in a war)

You incorrectly made a decision that a soldier's morals actually change in a war....they don't. Only the circumstances and their frames of reference.

... I'm a very moral person, I didn't go there because I wanted to, I went there because I was told to. Believe me I would have loved to have spent Thanksgiving and Christmas last year with my family and boyfriend, but instead I was over there, doing what I was told to by the President of the United States, eating the crappy food and smiling because the longer i was there the sooner I got to see my loved ones. So, yes we go over for a cause, some of us agree with it, some of us don't but we go over because if we don't we get in some major trouble.... damn that line that I signed.
