They are clamoring for total troop withdrawal but I.d like to know how soon and how fast would they like to withdraw the troops. Also, what contingency if any are they prepared to implement in case Iran takes control of Iraq or, if Al-Qaeda takes full control of Iraq and continue to attack US interest at home and abroad.

Neither side wants to get out of Iraq because it is too profitable for both sides.

It really doesn't matter what the American people want as long as they are profitting from it.

Of course, they want to make us believe that they are doing what they can and that they are planning to get out.

The Dem's are in such a state of denial and self-interest. If Pres Bush was forced to do what the Dem's want and get out of Iraq, the dem's would lose every seat in the House and the Senate. If you could find any one of them. They would all have found holes to crawl into and hide. The Middle East would be in flames, the price of oil -gasoline -would be sky high if there was any to be had at all. Israel would be nuked, we would be nuked, and the downfall of the West would be assured. When the Dems all came out of their holes, the terrorists would slaughter them all. It would be good riddance.

Surrendering?

Actually, Democrats keep saying they want to leave Iraq but they really don't. If America left Iraq then Democrats wouldn't have a campaign issue in 2008.

Also, many Democrats are war profiteers. Diane Feinstein's company has gotten hundreds of millions of dollars in military contracts. Diane Feinstein is a Democrat senator from California. Early in 2007, due to conflict of interests, she had resign from a military committee after she gave her own company some military contracts.

Democrats Republicans all the same, they are politicians and all of them usually screws things up by starting wars and then butting in trying to tell the military how to do their job.
Just like you by injecting politics into this Category “MILITARY”. Go discuss this in the politics or government category. People are dragging the military into politics and yes the president is the commander and chief but when he starts injecting political idealism into that role he becomes very close to a dictator. Just like each judge is supposed to listen to all sides of a case and come to an unbiased fare verdict.

The Democrats are taking their queues from Monty Python and the Holy Grail: Run away! Run Away!

Why would they want to do anything about Iran taking over Iraq? That's the kind of total defeat that the Democrats need to bolster their political plans.

We will see in 2009, until then, it's Bush's baby, doesn't matter, what anybody else wants. Congress gave their power away in 2001, after 9/11, scared like a bunch of rabbits.

I wouldn't look too deeply into the thinking of any of the Democratic candidates. They're only saying what they think will get them elected. I doubt seriously if any of them have any real plans on Iraq.

None that they've outlined. Oh - I forgot the Murtha plan - which is we defend our middle east interests from Okinawa. Other than that their only plan is to throw up the white flag and surrender.

I think the dems are just playing it by ear to get votes. It's just politics as usual. The higher you are the more power that is at stake. It gets ruthless at the top. That's why JesusIsTheAnswer.

I think they are taking a page from John Kerry's play book. I've got a plan, I've got a plan. It's a secret, but I've got a plan.
