I am soon to be air force but have not gone thru boot camp, but i'd like to travel somewhere with my friend who's a full time soldier but i dont know if they will allow that since i have my temporary military id i am in the DEP now.

if the answer is no, is it because of a general rule or can they make an exception or put that rule aside since i am joining the forces anyways ?

That you get a green list, or some ****, and you put yoru top three places to be stationed. I said, ok but how can i get to this specific division? she said, again the green sheet. Is where you say you want to be stationed, say Fort Campbell, mean what division you will be in? so for Fort Campbell if you got stationed there, you would be in 101st?

My ex husband is currently active army. He has been emailing me requesting me to fill out paperwork giving him joint custody even though he nevers sees his kid. He doesn't even live in the states. He said that the reason he wants partial custody is because he does not want to live on base. The military will not pay for his off base housing unless he is married or has partial custody. He states that he only wants custody "on paper" to get his housing paid for/more money. This is cheating the government!! I will not fraud our military. I feel this needs to be reported and stopped but I have no idea who to contact. I have searched the internet for someone to forward the email to, or a way to find his commanding officers but I have not found anything. Can someone help?

Let's say (hypothetically of course) that I was a recruit in the delayed entry program who used marijuana on 7/3. My ship date is 8/27. Would a military drug test show that I used during DEP? I've probably smoked about 9 times in the past year (including the time that I wasn't in DEP)

I'm considering moving with my husband, we love to travel and he has the option of living there for 3 years since he is in the military. I love asian culture and I'm half asian myself so I dont think it would be that strange, but I was wondering how people felt being there and if there were well entertained and happy living among the Japanese culture.

.. for the inspiration you've given me!
Your blind parroting of your political leaders has reminded me that while people say they want the truth, they don't know where to find it.

Your falsification of the facts has given me the inspiration to provide the 'ground' truth. Not even a liar likes to be lied to and when the people have seen through your lies, they will be utterly disgusted with you.

Your hatred for your protectors is the 'normal' reaction of the sheep to its guarddog, but have no worries, we'll still do our best to keep the wolf at bay.

Your resort to name calling demonstrates your lack of justifiable counter-argument.

Yes, you've spouted your hatred and lies enough. You've awoken me to the need for truth. Hold on tight for we are in for a ride that could be disastrous for your dear politicians that trample the bodies of my fallen brothers.

INTRODUCTION
"You know you never defeated us on the
battlefield," said the American colonel.
The North Vietnamese colonel pondered
this remark a moment. "That may be so,"
he replied, "but it is also irrelavent."
Conversation in Hanoi, April 19751
This project began with the question, "How could a
country win all the battles, and yet still lose the war?"
How could a country which is as rich and powerful as our
own, superior in every measurable category of military
strength, emerge as the loser with one of the world's
smallest and poorest countries? Why are our greatest
victories remembered as defeats? Why would a Congress that
approved the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution in 1964 with only two
dissenting votes turn its back on its South Vietnamese ally
when the North Vietnamese launched a full-scale conventional
invasion only eight years later?
In seeking answers to these questions it became readily
apparent that the American defense of South Vietnam was
brought to its unhappy conclusion not by a failure of
American arms, but rather by a failure of American will.
Former President Nixon said it this way:
The War in Vietnam was not lost on the
battlefields of Vietnam. It was lost
in the halls of Congress ... in the
editorial rooms of great newspapers ...
and in the classrooms of great
universities.2

my nephew said he was sent home from the military because he had been made to change jobs more than three times. He said they dropped him off at the airport and that was that. 1 month later the sherrif knocks on their door to arrest him for being awol. He never told us anything. Now I'm having trouble believing what he tells us. He was sent back got other than honorable discharge and was sent home in a week. Is it possible he did more than just runway to get that discharge? What is the normal punishment for awol?

Hypothetically, what is to keep a strong country like Russia or China from going after the United States if we invaded one their neighbors? What is the likelihood of a country disagreeing with the United States waging war in another country (or at least wanting to exploit it) and allying itself with the invaded country?
