I am soon to be air force but have not gone thru boot camp, but i'd like to travel somewhere with my friend who's a full time soldier but i dont know if they will allow that since i have my temporary military id i am in the DEP now.

if the answer is no, is it because of a general rule or can they make an exception or put that rule aside since i am joining the forces anyways ?

The only personnel authorized to travel Space A, on military or military chartered airplanes, are military members (active, retired, active Guard/Reserves) and their dependants.

Since you are neither, you are not authorized. This is in the regulations and cannot be waived.

It all depends on the security of where you are going, or how you are getting there. Chances are, you can't. If you can, you may be bumped because you don't have a full service duty card, and are not active duty yet. It all depends on the situation.

No you cant go there. You need a AIS clearance
and a PED recommendation to get there. Its easy, go to the JAG office and request a DD.401
form. Fill the form out and send it to both congressmen in your state. You'll be sent clearance to procede on your mission.
