.. for the inspiration you've given me!
Your blind parroting of your political leaders has reminded me that while people say they want the truth, they don't know where to find it.

Your falsification of the facts has given me the inspiration to provide the 'ground' truth. Not even a liar likes to be lied to and when the people have seen through your lies, they will be utterly disgusted with you.

Your hatred for your protectors is the 'normal' reaction of the sheep to its guarddog, but have no worries, we'll still do our best to keep the wolf at bay.

Your resort to name calling demonstrates your lack of justifiable counter-argument.

Yes, you've spouted your hatred and lies enough. You've awoken me to the need for truth. Hold on tight for we are in for a ride that could be disastrous for your dear politicians that trample the bodies of my fallen brothers.

Thanks Texan, they forget that we've fought for and earned the right of free speech as well as having been born to it and protected their right to it.

And let me give a special thanks to all of our Soldiers and veterans out there. It is us that take the risks that protect our freedoms.

2007-07-15 11:47:00 · update #4

And a special thanks to the spouses, girlfriends, and all other loved ones who support our troops and sacrifice more than any other of our civilians. You truly have the hardest job in the Military. Thank you.

Loco, I applaud you for your belief in protecting your family. Now, if your neighbor was beating and killing members of his family would you protect those kids and the spouse? If you called the police(UN) and they said they were too busy would you do anything?

Since AQ has already attacked the US numerous times, do you not believe we have a responsibility to respond?

Since AQ is in Iraq, do we not have a responsibility to respond? Should we not help the fledgling democracy of Iraq, who has asked for help to train their forces rather than let another terrorist nation be established?

Read the blog, if you want to know the 'ground' truth.

To the veterans and soldiers: thank you brothers (and sisters).
To the families of our veterans and soldiers, thank you very much.
To those citizens that support the troops and our mission, thank you also. Not everyone can serve and we need you too.

To my VietNam era brothers, let me say "Welcome Home" and your sacrifice there and here taught me a lot, especially in dealing with the current trend of naysayers. Thankfully spitting is now considered assault, so that I can defend myself. Your sacrifice was great.

Daniel, obviously I stated the ones making the accusations, the vocal ones. I specifically excused those who mistakenly believe the rhetoric.

The lies are numerous and usually wrapped in half-truths. For years, CNN has reported the deaths of X people in Iraq, never differentiating between civilians, terrorists and soldiers, unless it was a soldier. They at the same time did not report the deaths of soldiers in Afghanistan nor even on the war there. This was a purposeful attempt to undermine the mission in Iraq. Now they do report those deaths with the implication that it is the fault of the US military. Again a misnomer as the civilian deaths and the overall number of incidents is down indicating a lack of support for Al-Qaeda.

Certain politicians have repeatedly refused to even admit the presence of AQ, despite their knowledge of it.

The continued accusations of torture, despite the fact that it has been disproven, with exception of a minority which was prosecuted.

2007-07-15 15:20:56 · update #9

And yes, your co protestors, whether you claim them or not have gotten on this forum and accused US soldiers of gross atrocities.

I return to CNN and other media which repeatedly reports negative stories despite the facts that 90% are positive.

Read the blog, if you are either confident enough in your own beliefs to accept the word of an 'uneducated' veteran or if you just wish to know the truth.

2007-07-15 15:23:26 · update #10

The bottom line is this: certain of your politicians have betrayed your loyalty to them and used half-truths (or less) to attempt to gain your vote.

And yes, there are in fact those that protest at the funerals of my brothers. And I could care less their religious nor political beliefs. They are despicable.

Do I hate? No, but I do find those in the above identified categories despicable for misportrayal of the truth or outright lies.

Those whom have been lied to and wish to seek the truth, I have no quarrel with and hope only to give that which they seek.

The far left, anti-war people have always been this way. When they're called on their rhetoric, they cite the first amendment, not realizing that the constitution and therefore their rights to spout there bilge was paid for in the blood of patriots and defended by people who volunteer to do so. You can be against the war, the reason for it or whatever, but they don't need to demean the very people who provide the blanket of protection under which they sleep at night.

EDIT:
firefighter,
Do you honestly believe that? While I've not been in combat, I have given airmen the message to bomb a target. I support the war, because it needs to be finished. I have no desire to see more soldiers hurt or killed, but when 90% of the troops don't want to be pulled out before the finish, maybe we should listen. They know, as do I, that if they leave now, someone elses children will have to go in and clean up a bigger mess in a few and I mean few years. Your comment was calous and cruel. No one jumps for joy when someone goes into harms way, but sometimes it must be done, and people like you don't even have the decentsy to say thanks. Some one has to make the decision to send in the troops, and that decision is a heavy one to have to live with so it's not taken lightly. I thank God that I've never had to make a decision like that.

I believe nothing of what the government tells us. Why are we in Iraq? Has an enemy force invaded our country? Has the Iraq government pleaded to help us protect them?

Hasn’t anybody ever wondered why so many foreign countries hate Americans? I have and I’m often upset at foreigners that hate me simply because I’m American. Maybe my government both Republican and Democrats should stop putting their noses in other country’s affairs. Who knows what our government is secretly doing to other countries?

To show up and play on the hearts of Americans because American troops are dying isn’t doing the dead troops any honor. I’m no peace loving hippy that’s sitting back smoking a bowl of weed, releasing doves, and putting flowers in the muzzles of guardsmen’s rifles. I do not believe in peace at any price either. I’d shoot the first person to break my door down and try and harm me or my family, but I’m not going to go over to my neighbor and kill him just because I think that he’s someday going to rob me or harm my family.

We are the largest arms manufacturer in the world. We spend more on defense than the rest of the world and the next three in line behind us combined. We are also in the affairs of many nations and have our troops nearly everywhere. I didn’t ask for the war so don’t show up acting like we’re pinko commies. Maybe you’re just a narrow-minded fascist.

Freedom comes at a price? Who’s free? I’m not! The September 11th attack, the war in Iraq, and several other things have spawned crazy laws like the Patriot and Homeland Security Act. It’s currently being used on more Americans than anybody else in the world.

I lost entire respect for the military when I saw National Guardsmen troops disarming innocent civilians after hurricane Katrina. They went around; beat on doors, if nobody answered they broke in, and if anybody asked questions they were handcuffed while Guardsmen ransacked their homes in search of legally purchased firearms. The only thing these innocent American civilians did was to be victims of Hurricane Katrina. If the sheepdog turns on the sheep that it’s supposed to be protecting from the wolf, the sheepherder shoots the sheepdog because it’s no longer doing its job! Unfortunately your example of sheep fits American society. Too bad the sheep dog doesn’t represent the sheepdog; sadly the sheepdog is more like the wolf that it’s supposed to be keeping at bay.

Wake Up America!

libs used to be considered intelligent; hence coming from university indoctrination and livng out of contact with the real world. Their anger and lies surface when faced with the truth.
For them life is just a game until it hits home and affects them personally. They then are easily moved and finally convinced that they are actually part of a larger whole and not seperate from the realities that eventually end up biting them in the *** for being complacent and ignorant.

Wow, I can't believe the crap you are spewing out of your mouth. You think that just because someone is against the war in Iraq they:
1) Lie about what's happening over in Iraq.
2) Hate all the soldiers
3) Throw out insults that don't mean anything just for the purpose of their argument.

My Argument:
1) Hmmm... sounds a lot like someone powerful I've heard of... Oh yeah! Bush and his entire administration! You claim that we falsify facts? Name one fact that most anti-war protestors misconstrue.
2) No one hates our soldiers. They lay down their lives for us everyday, and to say that if you hate the cause they fight for you hate the soldiers themselves is idiotic. There's a huge difference between the soldiers and the war they fight.
3) Sounds a lot like your entire argument... The irony here is hilarious.

Good job!
