I have never read about or seen in contemporary films any Nazi aircraft carriers. Did they have any and would they have made a difference? I am assuming they didn't have any because everything they wanted to bomb was within flying distance of Nazi air fields, especially as they moved into conquered countries, so they didn't need them. But, wouldn't aircraft carriers have helped in the battle of the North Atlantic in trying to stop supplies from reaching Britain and Russia from the United States? It seems they placed much too heavy a reliance on just one method, the U boats, which ultimately were defeated by Allied countermeasures. What does anyone here think about this?

Hello. I've wanted to join the U.S. Marine Corps for a long time now. I have hypothyroidism and I take medication for it. I take a very light dosage and it's easily controllable. Is this disqualifying? Is there any way to get in?

There are many cases where terrorist captives are sexually abused for an instance the infamous Abu Ghraib prison torture where terrrorists were sexually abused by the U.S Army. In Manipur, India when people protested against the Indian Army many women were raped by army officials. The use of rape as a weapon of war has been prevalent for ages. But is that the way to fight? Isn't it barbaric?

Hi. I'm about to contract with the Army ROTC (2yr program), and I'm not totally confident about what I'm doing. I went to LTC, and I liked it. However, I think LTC is kind of a recruiting tool so I really need honest opinions from soldiers and retired soldiers who knows the real deal.
I have no immediate friend or family who have served in the military (except my grandpa in WWII).
I decided to look into ROTC because I was miserable. I had no idea what to do with my life and the military just seemed to be the perfect fresolution.
I'm against the Iraqi War.
But I'm still willing to go there and follow orders. Maybe it'll help to have some diversity of political opinion within the military.
I feel like this is the only choice I have.
I had very little time to think about it because I decided to do this few months ago and have to contract before the next semester if I am to enroll in the 2 year program. Please give me an honest advice.

staying in kuwait was totally retarded! he should of took out arabia before the coalition built up its forces there. then how would they have liberated kuwait? an amphibious landing would of been a blood bath for the americans.

My hubby has been there for a few months and we were told that , " oh you get so much money, you'll come home with a bunch of $$$$ saved up." But I don't see it, I mean there is a tiny bit extra which makes really hardly a difference. I am not understanding this considering what my hubby and all the rest of them are doing over there and endureing. Is it just the single people who come home with money ? Where is it ? Not much extra considering bill still have to be paid , hubby need funds for himself too over there. Am I just blind or are we not being compinsated for dangers he is going through and kids being without daddy????
