I recently read a book about a man who attempted to track down all the cases of soldiers getting spit on, hit, and otherwise verbally abused. He said that he couldn't find a SINGLE case of something like that happening and the stories only began appearing years AFTER the end of the Vietnam war.

He stated of all the stories about soldiers getting harrassed, there was not a single case of fist fights between soldiers returning from Vietnam and civilian protestors. Now think to yourself, if someone spit on you after watching your friends die, you would want to smack them in the face, right?

So the question I propose is this, ask relatives and friends who were in Vietnam if they or someone they know DID get abused when returning from Vietnam.

We need details and possibly names if you want, I want to settle this issue as soon as possible.

But, lesser countries can not? Surely there must be some sort of double standards occurring here? Why isn't there a global push for all nuclear weapons to be destroyed? How can one side have all the firepower they like, yet if a middle eastern country arms themselves with a hand gun, we unleash hell?

If we pulled out of Iraq and Afghanistan and a new president was in office, would you support an invasion of Iran to rid them of nuclear power??And would you honestly feel safe going to war with Hilary Clinton at the charge??i would only support it if we were out of current conflict ...and a woman thinks differently then males, so i would not feel safe she would be bothered by collateral damage, and family emotions would interfere.....(stay safe troops).....Semper Fi

the Taliban has grown stronger than they were on 9/11 in Pakistan? Would we as Americans like it if China came to our land and tried to rid us of democracy? Would some of us not rise up against them? Why do some Americans still try to justify the war because of 9/11 when there is no evidence they were even involved? I would just at least one legitimate answer that does not try to blame liberals!

Single army, superior tech, the best we have to offer today. Infinite equipment. And transports so that they may reach target areas within 24 hours.

50,000 ground troops, some artillery, and some tanks. 1 fleet.1 station of aircraft.

Can they conquer the globe?

suppose any one troop can occupy and can control an area of Iraq of about 1000ft with his weapon, thats about .12 sq miles of prime Iraq soil under American control

given that Iraq is mostly unstable due to the fact we're fighting a Iraq mafia/triad which uses gorilla warfare- at 169,234 sq miles of relatively spread out terrorists

with this it is calculated that we will need at least 1.5 million troops in Iraq to fully occupy and control Iraq completely and absolutely- this given that the American troops can hold that .12 sq miles on their own, but since the Iraq military is also on our side- the American deaths compared to Iraq enforcements equalize each other out

so the question is what will happen next? will the US resort to sending over about 1.5 Americans to help quil the violence or will this war rage on forever? seriously what will happen next?

I am pro immigration for all documented alliens who wish to visit, live and work here in the U.S. and or to become a U.S. citizen.

However, this is a terroist question; and an observation that I hold to be true for the United States.

My observation only represents one part of many problems of our national tragedy of our broken borders.

To me, our condition is akin to you or I acting as a military company commander in the field to defend our boarders only to find out that some of your troops went to sleep while on guard duty (such as we find in our current politcal leadership).

As you lay your head down tonight to go to sleep just remember some of "them" ( by the hundreds) are getting across to us and they are coming for you and your family ...for me and my family ...and it real.

They will destroy us unless we support our boarder patrol agents our generals and our military troops to do their job.

Our unconcerned leaders will destroy us unless we remove them.

Some say Lee Harvey Oswald shot the president in Dallas in the warehouse. Others say it was a group of conspirators from the Cuban maffia. It happened on November 22, 1963. A year later in 1964, it was the start of the Vietnam war. Did they declare war on Cuba after President John Fitzgerald Kennedy's death? It went on from 1964-1975. Tell me what you know if you have any information.

I just got back from Washington DC, the capital of the United States of America, which in my opinion should be the safest and most secure place on the planet. I did not feel that way...to be more exact I felt the least safe and secure I had ever felt in my entire life. If you've never been there it will absolutley blow your mind how dangerous it is, the things that get reported on the local news there at night are down right scary, ever more scary that for some reason the national media does not cover it...

Basically Washington DC is not safe to walk around by yourself during the day, but ESPECIALLY at night, even on the same street with all the federal buildings and monuments people are getting mugged and killed...

I am so disappointed in Washington DC.

Would it be legal for basically kick out all the civilians and treat it as a Military Facility in order to return control of DC back to the Fed Govt and not have the streets run by crime?

A lot of posters here say Americans are Killers, but they over look the numbers of innocent people killed by different religous sects, Terrorist, Insurgents on purpose. Killing is part of what a military force does, but only directed towards the known enemy. The fact that colateral damage happens is one of a war's misfortunes. With technology the lives lost are significanly reduced. Terrorist, Insurgents and others who we are fighting don't use any modern technology because they want to spread fear, and cause more chaos. They don't care whom they KILL, but wine about some accidental deaths on our part. I know someone will bring up the few service members who have done wrong and commited criminal acts; they will be held acountable for their actions.

How can these people not see or understand this??
