My dad has a hearing loss and is finally getting to the point where he is willling to get a hearing aid. He retired from the Navy about 10 years ago, and part of his hearing loss is due to his job in the Navy. He says that he cannot get VA benefits b/c it's too late to apply for them. Is this correct?

The military overpaid me several years ago. Lawyer told me that I was eligible for all pay and benefits until I had a DD214. I still don't have a DD214 my exit date is listed differently in different places. I say that I am not responsible for them paying me. They now want to charge me interest. I was able to get an upgrade in my discharge. I had heard that I wouldn't be responsible because of my rank I was E-1 when they overpaid me. How can I fight this? How do I get a military lawyer?

Help... I am currently on top of the the Empire State Building. I ended up here in an attempt to kill Britteney Spears...long story. Anyway, four helicopters are circling the building, one is crashed upon its roof, and there are several tanks and jeeps bunched up in the street below. I am under cover in the crashed chopper, but several snipers and bazooka carriers are locked in on my position, as well as people operating the jeeps' turrents and tank guns. I have a parachute on my back and a rocket launcher with a single shot left. I have to escape if I am ever to have a hope of finishing Britteney off. What should I do? Any battle plans to get away? Help!

I was recently at school, and there were recruiters from the Marines, Army, Air Force, and Navy.
I am pretty sure that College isn't the thing for me, and I have a low GPA to boot :P.
I was intrigued by the idea of joining some branch of military, specifically the Navy, and I was wondering:
Which branch is the most dangerous? Meaning which has the highest mortality rate?

How do you feel about this?In the era of an unfavorable war, recruits have fallen 15% the last quarter and fell the previous quarter as well for the army.Is this the answer?
Personally,I feel that in order for anyone to become a politician, they must serve a full tour in one of the 4 major branches prior to becoming eligible to represent this country.Maybe single out the guttless and crooked and provide those remaining with a clear view of just how their decisions impact families.

I contacted the air show offices and they said it was "undisclosed information" but were able to tell me it would happen in the afternoon. I am from out of town and would like to know the general time the practice occurs.

Thanks!

BAGHDAD, July 18 — For more than a year , the leader of one the most notorious insurgent groups in Iraq was said to be a mysterious Iraqi called Abu Omar al-Baghdadi .

As the titular head of the Islamic State in Iraq , Mr. Baghdadi issued incendiary pronouncements . Despite claims by an Iraqi Interior Ministry official in May that Mr. Baghdadi had been killed , he appeared to have persevered unscathed .

On Wednesday, the chief United States military spokesman here , Brig. Gen. Kevin J. Bergner , provided a new explanation for Mr. Baghdadi’s ability to escape attack . Hold onto your hats because the man pictured above and the man who headed the Islamic State in Iraq - never existed { yes you read that right } .
