its his first year in the marines and i want to get him his first k bar knife but i want it to say something special so if you can think of anything nice let me know.

The Marine corps Motto Semper Fidelis - means always faithful. I agree with the first answer posted this says it all, but you might add your first name and a date such as your wedding date. This would infer that the motto has two meanings one as a marine and a second as a faithful spouse. I would have liked something like that when I was in!

His unit probably has a nickname... find out what it is, and put that on it, and underneath put "When you care enough to send the very best"
