I wasn't a nuke, but my brother was. He got out after 9 years. He works for R.J. Reynolds where he maintains lasers that are used in quality control in the cigarette manufacturing process. He gets paid like a rock star.

I left the Navy in 1990 after 11 years. I am now a computer engineer.

my husband is a former nuke and he is a cqa now. customer quality anaylist he hated doing the nuke thing but the navy helped him with training and thats how he got his job he got out last march

I got kicked out of the program 10 days before graduating Prototype. Does that count? I'm still in. LOL

Some of the ones that came ashore work in power plants all over the country, not necessarily nuclear plants.
