2 possession of cannibis(under 16 grms) and posession of a pipe(paraphernalia) with a minor theft charge under $300. I know that sounds terrible. I'm 26 and these offenses occurred 6-10 years ago. Immediatly after I caught these charges (all seperate) I served 45 days in jail and 28 days in rehab. Then I went to college for 2 years thereafter and got 34 credits. I haven't been in any trouble since then. Do I or will I ever have any kind of hope of be accepted for active duty? Is there someone to speak with other than a basic recruiter so I could better plead my case? Any info would be appreciated.

I don't believe there are any accomadations to Army girlfriends. I want to move to Germany to be with my boyfriend and understand I will have to find a job and housing near his base. I want to move there in April 2007 and neither one of us want to rush getting married. I don't even know where to begin to start preparing. I'm looking for somewhere to start. Do I need a work visa? Is my plan even feesable? I'm willing to do anything to make this work and to be there with him. He currently lives in the barracks but I believe he can obtain permission to live off base just without the financial support from the Army. If anyone has any information I would really appreciate it! Even a website or someone to contact would help!

This condition has just appeared in the last six months. They said I've probably had it all along but it's just now flaring up. What will happen to me? I have to tell them and give them all of the x-rays and doctors notes. I have over 12 yeas of combined active and National guard service. I don't want out but I can't physically perform my duties anymore. My doctor even specifically stated that I can't be deployed. I've already done one tour in Iraq and would go back if asked, however, I can't. Anybody know what's going to happen to me from here?

Terrorists use the local population to foment attacks on our soldiers with impunity. WHO allows the "jihadists" to plant roadside bombs ? WHO uses religious sites to attack our troops ? The local population are accomplices in these attacks and yet they suffer, not at all. If ALL were treated as though they were active combatants, I believe that there would be a lot less loss of our troops.
A famous Muslim conqueror gave cities 3 days to surrender.
Day 1 The leader would die.

Day 2 ALL the fighters would die.

Day 3 ALL would die.

Tamerlane didn't have too much problem after the first city.

Unfortunately, we (the U.S.) have forgotten how to WIN, and therefore we are doomed to fail.

WASHINGTON — The Bush administration has acted to block a lawsuit against the United Arab Emirates by the families of children abducted from African countries for use as jockeys.
Officials said the State Department has been directed to help prevent a trial in a Miami court by representatives of an estimated 10,000 children forced into becoming camel jockeys in the UAE. The suit has targeted UAE Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is also the ruler of the Dubai emirate.

Currently both the American and Canadian armies have minesweeping vehicles called Aardvark Mark 4. These have been used worldwide for sweeping minefields etc. There are so so many dieing when theres a vehicle that can take care of it and not hurt driver. These vehicles flailing up and down the travelled roads in both Afg and Iraq, would certainly save many lives, what do you think?

Today I went to see a recruiter with the airforce to go active duty. He told me I can only get deploited for about 130 days which equals to about 4 mths. Is this true? Can I get deploited for more time? My second question is that, I have a Bachelore in Social Work and was told by one of my friends that I can become and officer, but when I went to see the recruiter he told me I couldn't and would have to start at E3 after BT is this true? Thanks

POTUS G W said recently ".. Osama bin Laden. He's proclaimed that the "third world war is raging in Iraq." Osama bin Laden says, "The war is for you or for us to win. If we win it, it means your defeat and disgrace forever." I say that there will be a big defeat in Iraq and it will be the defeat of al Qaeda. "

"Today I will consider the arguments of those who say that al Qaeda and al Qaeda in Iraq are separate entities. I will explain why they are both part of the same terrorist network — and why they are dangerous to our country. "

"A good place to start is with some basic facts: Al Qaeda in Iraq was founded by a Jordanian terrorist, not an Iraqi. His name was Abu Musab al Zarqawi. Before 9/11, he ran a terrorist camp in Afghanistan. He was not yet a member of al Qaida, but our intelligence community reports that he had longstanding relations with senior al Qaida leaders, that he had met with Osama bin Laden and his chief deputy, Zawahiri." (GW Bush 24 Jul 2007)

Is there any fitness requirements that can extend my time in the airforce boot camp. If so how long? or what are the requirements for me to prevent this from happening to me. I only want to stay there the time I should be staying which is 6 wks not longer. Thanks

"A key lesson of September the 11th is that the best way to protect America is to go on the offense, to fight the terrorists overseas so we don't have to face them here at home. And that is exactly what our men and women in uniform are doing across the world. "

"The key theater in this global war is Iraq. Our troops are serving bravely in that country. They're opposing ruthless enemies, and no enemy is more ruthless in Iraq than al Qaeda. They send suicide bombers into crowded markets; they behead innocent captives and they murder American troops. They want to bring down Iraq's democracy so they can use that nation as a terrorist safe haven for attacks against our country. So our troops are standing strong with nearly 12 million Iraqis who voted for a future of peace, and they so for the security of Iraq and the safety of American citizens."

Any comment for what President George W. Bush stated, 24 Jul 2007, at Charleston Air Force base in South Carolina?

I am British and I fail to understand this concept that American soldiers must necessarily be "fighting for freedom". And if it weren't for them 'you'd have no freedom'. I've seen many liberals who are generally against the war but uphols this 'fighting for our freedom' thing to.

I can't really see anyone who is a threat to the freedom that exists in the US. They have the biggest military in the world, it's one of the richest counties in the world, but are a bunch of Islamic crazies really a threat to American society as a whole? Also all the major wars that's been fought since the second world war seems to have been fought to further the interests of the American elites (Vietnam, Iraq etc.)

BTW: I'm not insulting American soldiers or anything here. I don't have anything against them as I've never met any of them and I hope they get home OK. I'd just like this cleared up.
