I was thinking of joining the army but would rather work in intelligence gathering and analyzation over combat. Do all of the jobs in the army involve some sort of combat? Or will an intelligence gathering job not involve combat?

No, they don't. There are all sorts of things to do in the army. But the force of grunts is really the backbone that gets stuff done.

Gooday No, Your basic duty is to figh,t but some Military Occupational Skills in the U.S. Army are far from the fight. All jobs require a sense of duty and a willingness to serve.

No, you can find an MOS that doesn't involve combat. However, the non-combative MOS actually requires a higher score on your MEPS (is that right?) test. You could ask about it at your nearest recruitment office.

ASVAB, that's right! LOL, sorry, haven't talked to hubby for a couple days, and he's not exactly available for me to ask him.

90% are non-combat, 10% combat. That doesn't mean that you don't deploy to a combat zone, every job (MOS) goes into combat zones, but most don't actually engage in combat.
