Dude i was the same way, after your first shower you will realize that you are more scared of the drill instructors then nervous about being naked. Take it from me you will lose that shame, for those two minutes that your taking a shower.

I'm not sure if you're serious or not, but I'll take a stab at it, lol.
1. There will not be older men, they'll all be young with maybe one exception, there's usually one or two older guys who join.
2. At 18 you are clinically as much a man as a 42 year old, no bigger or smaller in the area you seem to be concerned about, and that has been true since you were about 14-15.
3. Historically it has not been unusual at all for same sex people to see eachother nude from time to time, it's just a modern thing where young people are super-sensitive about it.
4. If you join the Marines, the fact that you are naked in front of a bunch of people will be the LAST thing on your mind the first time you actually have to do it.
To let something like this be a stopper for you would be so rediculous that I would say you shouldn't even join if it is truly something you would consider an issue.

In 1963 I felt the same freak'in way for 10 seconds when I was 13 years old and in 7th grade PE class. At least I had a little public hair!! What the ???? happened to the schools in this country!!
My experience in the USMC was if you stayed in the shower longer than about 40 seconds you got a cold shower!
The Marine Corp needs a few guys with what it takes to develope a "backbone"!! WORRY ABOUT THAT...

Well, think about this for a minute, i'm sure you're not the only one who feels that way, plus I don't think the other guys will be paying attention to you at all, if they are, something isn't right with them, lol. Plus, it's not like you're the only guy showering in the public, so you won't be the center of attention! You shouldn't let that be a deciding factor of whether you join or not. I'm glad you are wanting to serve the country, thank you man.

I am sure you are playing but beyond basic training, public showers are not the norm. Marines dont have a major presence in Korea. If they did I would warn you that most of the Korean soldiers swing both ways and love looking at man meat- and no I am not kidding though I wish I was,

i was in the navy, the only time i ever took group showers was in boot camp... and they were usually to quick to pay attention to any body's anything.... there are a lot of people right out of high school so don't be surprised if someone can't "size up" to u, but neither him, nor u will have the time to find out!!
Have you ever heard the saying "Don't sweat the small stuff..." Trust me, little things like that.... you won't even think about them when you get there...

when you join and in boot camp, showers will be so quick everyone is too busy to size anyone. Anyhow they will be your age. Do you really think older males are signing up for the Marines?
Go serve and serve proudly.

You won't be looking at their's and they could truly car less about yours!!! You won't have enough time to compare the size of your package to the other males in your platoon. Don't worry about!!! Just be happy you chose to go to the Varsity branch and not the others!!!
Unless you want to join the Air Force. They might let you take a bubble bath at the end of the day.

LOL, this should be the least of your worries. If you are scared to death of showering in front of other men, find another career. Besides, they will not be "sizing" you up and I hope you will not be "sizing" them up either, and with the 3 minutes you have to shower it will be the furthest thing from your mind.

Every one worries about this a little at first. Just keep in mind that everyone else is a little nervous about it too. Remember that being brave is not about not being afraid it is about being afraid and acting anyway.
Almost everyone has the same kind of feelings - we just don't share them. I was a little nervous about the same thing when I left for basic.
