Men are not trained to kill but men of the military are sometimes profiled as being potentials and recruited as agents. The emotional impact of killing a person is a harsh one as is true of police, but a sniper is not really involved in the gore, and walks away but the next time, perhaps the target is closer, and each time it becomes easier. Often it is a "Do or Die" situation. You kill or be killed. No one is recruited to be a killer, but some have the ability to drop the hammer.
