the Taliban has grown stronger than they were on 9/11 in Pakistan? Would we as Americans like it if China came to our land and tried to rid us of democracy? Would some of us not rise up against them? Why do some Americans still try to justify the war because of 9/11 when there is no evidence they were even involved? I would just at least one legitimate answer that does not try to blame liberals!

Umm ....CIA report? I had more than one question! You cannot answer one of them without blaming the media can you? How can you continue to defend this man who in my mind has killed many of the people that I fought beside every day? I am an American who wants all of America to wake up before one more child loses its father or mother in a war with no cause!

Response for a country in turmoil: Why do we go to Iraq to fight a war because of an Insane leader who kills his own people...when the same thing has been going on in Africa for many more years and yet we have done nothing? Answer=OIL!

Great point bro! But even better...why are we wasting our time fighting a war in iraq when we should be fighting the war at home with drugs, poverty, lack of insurance, murderers and rapists, and ect. Lets get our country in good condition instead of deciding to go fight a half-assed war...Its pointless and I didnt join the army because of it....We should leave the world to police itself instead of always getting involved with everything....we need to be selfish here and fix our country first dammit!

If the Taliban fell off the earth tomorrow, the governemnt would create another monster to focus on. History has shown that different races, colours, beliefs, whatever, always cause conflict. What western governments believe is that our way of life is right, and theirs is wrong. Answer? Invade them and spread the glorious way of western civilisation throughout the globe. what has never even been considered by anyone, is that maybe these people are actually happy living the way the currently are or were before the western world decided to ram our way of life down their throats.
I'm not an Islamic sympathiser, far from it, but I firmly believe that people should be able to live as they see fit so long as this does not involve killing others, or harming others in the process. If someone wants to live in a mud hut somewhere, then let them. there is no direct evidence of 9/11 & Iraq of any nature, Saddam Hussein was against Al Qaida anyway. It is simply this; Westerners believe our way of life is the way to go and can not simply allow others to live how they wish to live. We have bigger guns and more force, so as history reveals, the side with the bigger arsenal wins the war and spreads the word...take the Romans all those years ago. Even to some extent, the British when they first settled in America, and decided to wipe out the native Indians...because we don't really understand their way of life, we chose to act in this way because what we don't understand intimidates us, so we simply mask our own fear with aggression. If everyone just left everyone alone, it would be a far simpler place...EG You look after your garden, and I'll look after mine.

Many do not want to admit that we were possibly wrong to go into Iraq. Playing the blame game is not going to solve anything. It will only serve to divide America further. We need to buckle down and solve the problem.
Iraqis need to take the initiative and take over their own country. Then our military can get out of there and address more pressing issues, such as the growing problem in Pakistan that you mentioned.

1. Well Pakistan is cooperating with the US, however they will not allow our military to conduct operations in their country. Therefore, it has created a safe haven for them.
2. No we would not, and it would not happen.
3. No one would have to rise up against them, the military would handle it.
4. We did not invade Iraq because of 9/11. We went there to remove a horrible dictator who supported terrorism, who did have WMD, and to help provide stability in the Middle East.

why do you say "some Americans", when is is primarily Bush/Cheney that try to justify the war because of 9/11. Good luck getting an intelligent answer to your question. When I ask those who hate Hillary Clinton to give specific reasons why all I get is she is a liar, a communist, etc.

If you will remember correctly, everyone wanted to go to Iraq and remove Saddam. We were all in the fighting mood. Did he have anything to do with 911? No! Did he have WMD's? Everyone thought so. He probably moved them to Pakistan or Syria. Why are we still there? We haven't finished what we started. We have become a nation of impatient, instant gratification people.

ill give you an illustration. the taliban might be stronger than they were BUT they dont have the funding or supply or even the technology to fight a successful war against the US military. they can do minor hit and runs but thats all the cowards ever do today.

That is a CIA report, from a group that has no reason to love Bush and is loaded with Clinton appointees. Do you really trust them to give an accurate report?
