A lot of posters here say Americans are Killers, but they over look the numbers of innocent people killed by different religous sects, Terrorist, Insurgents on purpose. Killing is part of what a military force does, but only directed towards the known enemy. The fact that colateral damage happens is one of a war's misfortunes. With technology the lives lost are significanly reduced. Terrorist, Insurgents and others who we are fighting don't use any modern technology because they want to spread fear, and cause more chaos. They don't care whom they KILL, but wine about some accidental deaths on our part. I know someone will bring up the few service members who have done wrong and commited criminal acts; they will be held acountable for their actions.
How can these people not see or understand this??

They just dont want to see it or understand it. They think that war is bad and that it will never solve anything. I have two brother who are USMC and that is there job and they love it. Many people will say that bush shouldn't put our troops in dangor and what not but thats there job. Its like saying that we shouldnt send fire man to a fire because they could get hurt. Its there job they chose and most if not all love it. I think to many americans dont understnad that. Along the lines of our enemys wining aobut what we have done "wrong" they just want to find more and more reasons to hate us. They think they are suppost to become the ruler of the world and if they can get the American people to start hating America it will be easyer for them to take over. And thus going back to the American that are protesting the war. They are just out wardly giving our enemys what they want and thats weak ness toward our own government and their choses..

The military killed innocents in WWII also. And Hilter killed 6 million innocent people. You will always find people that say War is wrong and it's our aggressiveness that is trying to capitalize on something or another. But the main fact remains, is these people want us dead, they don't care if you are liberal, conservative or anything else. Just dead. Because we are not all Muslim extremists. And if we don't stop them there, we will not prevent them from coming here.
Our Servicemen are a special breed and they have to be that way. ALL SERVICEMEN.
I think most of them act honorably and the few that get out of hand are displayed on our media as representing the whole.
They can't see it because they are glued to their televisions and imbibing the whole feed instead of realizing that the real heroes never get talked about.

It's because they can't look at the big picture, and refuse to believe what really goes on. The media feeds them garbage to make them feel bad about whatever, then they all start complaining, and refusing to admit that sometimes, things have to be done that aren't "nice." I'm not a soldier, but even I understand why some things just have to be done, and without worrying about hurting the feelings of some liberal idiot with too much media access and no brains...

Lots of anti-american propaganda on the internet. They've more than likely never been to Iraq so they dont know for themselves and rather believe in the propaganda than Americans. Sucks.
