Yes they can know you work there. However don't bother to pack a lunch for them 8)
All access is by airplane. This is not "Independance Day" and you can not drive there!
Only those with specific mission requirements "spend the night." The area is cleared everyday. All those who work there take an airplane out every night.
This is not so "spooky" as many will tend to say.
It is just a highly secure site with a bunch of specialized military equipment which conduct training missions on a regular basis.

It depends. Some of the maintenance people live in Rachel and the surrounding area and work there, so their families know about it. Some of the more sensitive projects are of a nature that the workers reside in Las Vegas or its suburbs and fly to and from the site every day. Most of their families do not actually know where they work, only that they fly somewhere every day.
