The first week is definateley not the worst in my opnion although some people may see it differentley the first week is going to be your recieving week, this is where you will get all your gear get it marked and get the basic terminology and basic drill movements down, as soon as you pick up with your DI's then thats when it hits the fan, you choose for yourself which week you think is the worst because your going to be challenged in every way and aspect possible, however you will become accustom to all the little things that made life suck so bad at first, and yes running becomes easier the more you do it, you just have to put out to get better at it.

The first week of any training is the worst, in my opinion, especially in the military. You don't know what to expect, so you screw up more. After a while you get used to it, and you get better at it. During the first week you'll swear that some people are actually trying to screw up. That's also when they spend their time punishing everyone. Later on they start punishing the people actually committing the infractions.

No, the first week with your platoon is the worst. The first couple of days aren't so bad, while you are in receiving. The first week with your platoon they are trying to break you down. They haul in extra DIs, and are hammering you for every little thing. The idea is to prove that they control you, and that they are going to break you down. It definately got better after the first week

Listen to the man above... do YOU want to be "broken" so THEY can "control" you? Ask yourself. WHY did it get better for him? Is it because he now had control of his mind and movement or because they did?
