This may be a silly question but why do some soldiers or marines use m-16's and some use M4A1's is it by choice or rank/job?

I don't know if I would be included as I served in Viet Nam for 2 tours, once on the ground, once in the air. I know you're looking for the Gulf soldiers and I would imagine their experiences to be much different than mine.
Two tours in Vietnam and he asks if he can be included......
That scares me Pcpy Off course, you did two tours in a war...
Has the US goverment shamed Viet Vets so much they have to ask if they can be counted....
It doesn't matter if you were Drafted or joined up, You served your Country be proud Dude...

Why is it that conservative Fox News and Liberals like Tyra Banks will invite these people on as guests but will not do some real journalism and tell us who is funding them?

I think the American People have a right to know who is funding this homegrown "terrorism".

Fox just uses them to get ratings and Bush just makes them step back 500 feet.

I left a answer on a question and something Felix below me wrote made me think, I left the Army a while ago but I miss it everyday, yet when I was in I got so Issed off with it....
I drive now for a living I'm my own boss I ern good money a lot of my mates with who I served have now left and are doing outdoor courses and security in Iraq and stuff, but they ask me to do it but I made the break I try to keep away from that but everytime I drive past a wood or farm or fields I looking distance ranging working out best position to snipe or set up op's did I never switch off or does training keep your brain running for years.
The main thing I really miss is Pistol shooting I was a Marksman and your lucky if you can shoot a spudgun legally in the UK nowadays......

Rememberance Sunday is the worse that just makes you so Issed of seeing your old muckers...But Seen it Done it Bought the T-shirt wouldn't change a thing....

I enlisted in the navy as a gunners mate (because I did not yet take the DLAP for CTI) my ship out date is in may....I was sworn in the day I picked my job. However I heard that what recruiters left out that until the second week of boot camp you can terminate your contract with no repurcussions...is this true or not? Wherecan more info be found? I want to know this in case I want to delay my entry further..to finish college or if I can't get the job i want

My husbands crazy ex wife is filing for child support. but heres the screwed up part its not his child. he was overseas when she had the baby by a different guy and they were separated living in different states when as well. so her and he boyfriend , who by the way signed the birth certificate, broke up. so we get a phone call about a month ago saying that she was filing for child support but she need our address so my husband could fill out some paper work saying he wasn't the father. so the real father could take a dna test. ok that was all fine and dandy but the paper work has never came. so my question is, is there really extra paper work that he would need to fill out? and just in case she is trying to say my husband is the father what can we do to stop her? and is there anything he can do pro actively to stop her from filing it on him? Since he his Air Force and his dna is on file could they submit it to the state for him?

I remeber hearing that the huns might have be descendants of mongols but im not sure if its true. Any ways I just thought they were both great armies and conqueored great nations. Huns almost destroyed roman empire. Mongols conqueored the chinese. Give info to who you think would win.

these people make me sick. I am a navy recruiter, I pride my self in not lying to my potential recruits. yes there are some dirty recruiters out there. but i have been reading questions concerning navy recruiting and some of the answers to these quaestions are crazy. If you have never served in the military then you have no right to give advice on joining or not joining. just because you were either too scared to serve your country or you didn't qualify doesn't mean you need to influince our youth into not joining. people, if you have questions about the navy don't ask the guy that was in the military during the civil war and don't ask the guy that didn't qualify for the navy. ask a recruiter, talking to him doesn't automatically sign you up. you can talk to a recruiter for days. the only way your in is if you raise your right hand and say the oath. on a seperate note, if you want a recruiter to stop calling you, answer the phone and say "I'm not interested" and we will stop.
