start of the war. We have spent 750 billion during this time funding the war.(The numbers could be even higher) What have we to show for it?

We supported Saddam when he was the enemy of our enemy(Iran, in the late 70's and early 80's.) I still remember seeing that picture of him shaking hands with a smiling Donald Rumsfeld. We use people when they are useful to us. We overlook their human rights violations until they are no longer useful.

That number is flawed.
Those are military deaths, and do not include american civilians in iraq.

The Bush administration has hidden many injuries and deaths because they were not military. The actual civilian count is not recorded.

There are a couple sites http://www.iraqbodycount.net/ shows a civilian death count between 67000 and 74000 based only on MEDIA REPORTED CIVILIAN DEATHS. The media is not always clear on the nationality of the civilians.. only that they are civilians killed.

http://www.antiwar.com/casualties/ & http://icasualties.org/oif/US_chart.aspx have more information regarding the numbers.

But the worst one of all is Washington Post article http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/10/10/AR2006101001442_pf.html which explains that as many as 655,000 deaths have occurred. (read article for how they came up with that number.)

I was only able to locate a partial list of deaths of civilian contractors.. http://icasualties.org/oif/Civ.aspx

What do we have to show for it? Our lost freedoms & liberties here at home.. http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/
The homeland security act & US patriot act http://www.aclu.org/safefree/resources/17343res20031114.html
, the fema concentration camps http://www.freedomfiles.org/war/fema.htm

Iraq was a distraction, from the real war here in the united states... an attack on the consititution and our freedoms..

Too bad more conservatives are not attempting to preserve our freedoms..

Not as much as we should have had. But at least we know Saddam was lying about having WMD's and we exposed the food for oil scandal. We also proved that the UN serves no purpose what-so-ever. Again.

The only time a lib cares about how much the government is spending is when they can get a dig into the military or conservatives... otherwise it's just one big free lunch for everyone...

No terrorist attacks on US soil.
Saddam's reign of terror is over - 550,000 murdered by him.
Iraq has a democratic government.
Well, you are not hearing or choosing to not understand so I will stop wasting my time & yours.

You are talking about how many Americans were wounded and how many of them died.
How many innocent Iraqis died, then??????? I am sure they never count that..
