I don't feel a bit safe with this Christian Taliban loose in the United States...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pi77koTk8mc

Why is it that conservative Fox News and Liberals like Tyra Banks will invite these people on as guests but will not do some real journalism and tell us who is funding them?

I think the American People have a right to know who is funding this homegrown "terrorism".

Fox just uses them to get ratings and Bush just makes them step back 500 feet.

What's wrong with this country???

With 6 websites, up to 4 protest groups, a huge sprawling property that they call home, constant bail and legal fees... and NO REAL JOBS... someone is heavily funding this Anti-American destruction agency.

Their church is not Godly at all and should be banned. I don't care what amendment they are protected by. Hate should never be protected by anything

There are domains that the law cannot enter regardless of morality. This just happens to be one of them.

Perhaps they were brought on in the hope that a couple people with serviceable rifles or a person with knowledge of explosives would level the church and bury this abomination of religion. If I were in my older years, and didn't still have so much to lose, I'd take up the task.

I have nothing against any peaceful religion. My only contempt comes from people trying to force their beliefs on others. I like to believe there is a special place reserved for these people in Hell.

Because even the highest estimates say that there are 150 of them. More like 90 (And they are all in the same inbred family).

Some people even think they are just publicity seekers.

The best thing would be if the press and everyone just started to ignore them.

I never thought I would see the day when I would agree with Sean Hannity! But, after watching that video clip, I have to say that on this one thing, that day has come. But, these Westboro idiots don't scare me, simply because every sane person in this country can see them for the sick nutcases they really are! The only way they could be dangerous would be if people were actually listening to them. *sm*

they're very hateful and (i think of) thoroughly incorrect, yet they're careful to do issues that are extremely allowed by regulation. I would desire to settle for his or her criminal and constitutional staggering to do it -- yet while it have been my son being buried, i'm unable to assert that i would not devote acts of violence upon the individuals shouting slogans and asserting he deserved it. that's an identical "church" that has "God Hates Fags" on their internet site and that they actually protest each and everything from military funerals to church homes, all using fact they suspect this united states helps homosexuality (yeah, staggering), and that considering that they suspect homosexuality is incorrect and God hates gays and lesbians, that God hates usa. that's not in basic terms completely convoluted "good judgment," even although that's hateful and -- for my section -- against each little thing that i think of of while i think of of God. To me, God is love, attractiveness and goodness, not such erroneous hate and bigotry. Sorry for the sermon ... to respond to your question, i assume the only element you're able to do is sleep at evening a sprint much less perplexing understanding which you're a much better guy or woman than all of them. i'm unable to think of how they stay their lives ate up by lots hate -- that's gotta suck for them.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof". It's part of the First Amendment to our Constitution. Since the Congress can make no law, then the President and the Executive Branch have nothing to enforce. This "church" has been around for a few years. I use quotes around that word because I have yet to hear of one act of corporal mercy that they perform. So, I don't consider them to be a religious organization.

Wow, I just watched the video. I wasn't aware of this situation until now. It's people like her and her church that give decent christians like me a bad name. God is the one who's supposed to judge sin! I can't believe they're picketing the soldiers' funerals! I'm sure they will be stopped somehow in the near future--at least I hope they are!

they more or less fund themselves. confronting them does nothing to them and the will use the power of law to sue and defame anyone who tries to impede them. just like the scientologists. besides, there really are no laws to ban them from what they are doing. they are the dark side of the first amendment and there are very few outside their very tight knit organisation who agrees with their ideology and/or methods. but they do have a right to do what they are doing.

I'm still trying to figure out how PETA keeps it's special tax exempt status after giving material aid to two documented and recognized (according to the FBI) terrorist organizations - the Earth Liberation Front and the Animal Liberation Front.
