OK here ya go. Expect to be treated much like basic, screaming yelling, drop your **** out on the sidewalk so we can see what you have, amnesty area, all that whoah army crap. after a few days itll calm down and be alittle less stressed. I was with a bunch of aviation guys so they were lax at times but got pissed alot too. Youll find yourself on a one on one basis sometimes with the ds's and youll realize there normal guys who hate being there as much as you do. Da select is a mother f'er.Ive ran into a few ds's i knew and its night and day. but keep you stuff tight and ready to be inspected at all times and keep you PT up and yuor good. Itll be just like this guy said, PT, clean , march to chow, maybe bus to school, go to lunch, go back to school then go home then to dinner, followed by some CTT training maybe. Its to easy to get by just STAY OUT OF THE LIME LIGHT. as for the days off.it depends on how long your AIt is. If its relatively short like a few weeks you might get a weekend or two free to head out in class B uniforms for the better part of a day. If its longer they will usually work off a phase or pass classification. For me it worked like this first 28 days i couldnt leave anywhere or do anything. after that they had a pass classification. Red= same thing CANT DO ****. Green= sat/sun you go out for the better part of those days but must return to a certain formation time. Gold= all weekend including friday night we could go out in civilian clothes(which depends on your DS's) and if your over 21 we could drink On top of all of that We had phases 4, 5 5+ which all determined what we could have E.G. cell phones, tv's, etc.. Ours was based off of PT scores and school house % (your grades). I can't tell you exactly how it will be for you but ive heard there all different but i can only give you my example of how it was for me. I was in AIT for 23 weeks. Hope this helped. oh yeah if you get a four day pass youll be able to go home but don tcount on it if its just a weekend.

Unless there has been a major change AIT was breakfast at 0530, formation at 0630, police call on the parade field (if it don't grow there it don't go there), march to class, lunch, formation, class, march back, PT, on your own. We had one pay phone, I'm sure someone else will know about the new comm. items.

In 1 word contral thats what they whont from you you eat, sleep, pea, and dump when they whont you to. Listen to your drill sargeant and step up as long as you can make your bed very nice, dont go to Sick call often only if you cant stand and youll do good. As for Ait never whent there.

Your recruiter lied. You are there 24/7 until graduation. Your thoughts will only make you suffer more as well as your platoon.
