A question for men that have ever been on deployment.............?

My husband is coming home from a long deployment... I want to do something romantic for him AT HOME to show him how much I love him, how much I've missed him, and how proud of him I am. If you could choose what a woman would do for YOUR homecoming, what would it be? I need suggestions.

My significant other and i have decided to join the military so it will pay for our college. We've talked to every single recruiter but now im confused by which branch. some unbiased opinions will help. What can you tell me about the army,marines,navy and air force? what do youthink? can u tell me any inside stuff? oh and id like to know about their bands too. please help.

debate for the war in Iraq?

i am doing a debate for it, and my stand is that the U.S should leave Iraq. i just wrote an opening statement, can you guys please check it or add something to it to make it a good opening statement? thank you!
"There are many compelling reasons for the United States to immediately withdraw troops from Iraq. That was a terrible mistake made by our administration without total knowledge of the facts and consequences of going to war in Iraq. As a result, many Americans troops and innocent civilians have died without any real reason or a good idea when the war will end."

I have an old foriegn military backpack and I want to know what the writing means.?

I'll start by describing it first then giving what it says. It's a green(color blind but I'm almost positive it's green) rubberized nylon backpack. It has to parts, the main one is fairly big and the secondary is fairly small. Each is closed with two straps like on a belt. The to shoulder straps can be adjusted at the bottom and at the top, but at the top they split off and go up to the top and down to a triangular piece of metal. Right above the triangular piece of metal is a small sheet of paper covered by clear plastic that has the following written on it:
293 64.356.11 then a g or 9
Duca Graziano
I think it this line is: Uia Muraccio27
6612 Ascona
The Ascona was written very bold and underlined. The story had it marked as Swiss but I think Duca Graziano is the name(I'm probably wrong) and that sounds Italian. Any help would be great.

Any job in the US Navy similar to SWCC?

I want to join the Coast Guard becuase I like handling small boats, but I know there's some small boats in the Navy as well. Is SWCC the only way to get behind the helm of these boats, or are there other careers that use small boats in the Navy? I'd love to be in SWCC but I'm not even close to matching their level of fitness.

Does Any American Know Exactly Who The Enemy Is In Iraq?

Common sense tells me its impossible to defeat an enemy if you don't know who they are.

So I have always had a problem with Bush and his wars because I don't believe he or his generals or his soldiers have a clue WHO the enemy is, where they are, when, where, how or even why they strike.
Is it all Muslims? All Iraqis? All Sunnis" All Shia? if its only some, which ones are they? if its Alqaeda which ones are they?
Can anybody, even an Iraqi answer this question?

to the people that didn't like my solution to suicide bombers, What is your solution?

Do you understand how ruthless they are? how do you combat that? these people have the same mentality of the terrorists of 911. Leaving Iraq will not stop it. Terrorist right now are planning or have planned attacks against us and got caught. I sincerely want to know what your solution is?

Here is how we can stop suicide bombings, what do you think?

The only way to beat them and to bring them to a halt is to be willing to take it to another level further than they can go. So here goes, it is common knowlege that the bombers familys receive financial rewards for their attacks. So, we should execute their families. If they know their families would be killed, you take away some of the motive. Is this cold hearted, absolutely, but they are already using their own wives daughters and children. so unitl we are willing to take it to their level, these bombings won't stop. and yes i probably have some typing errors. lol

Hey,

I was just wondering; why does America think it has rights to the Arctic Northwest passage?

Why do they claim the waters that are clearly Canadian territory to be "international", and what do you think about Stephen Harper's move to blockade the passage from all American shipping with Canadian warships?

After centuries of searching, the NW passage was finally found a few decades ago; right in Canadian waters! So why do the Americans try and go through there?

Your excuses and reasons are flimsy and stupid.
Iraq never attacked the USA, had no WMDs or nuke programs, were any real military threat to do anyone, or had anything to do with 9/11.

There's just no good reason why Bush invaded Iraq. Not one.

How do you think the soldiers feel?

Here is a serious question i have for all of you NON supporters..

1st off i am not saying i support the war because our president tells us to but i support our war for one reason!!!!!

If we don't support our troops by re-assuring them they are doing the right thing they get emotionally drained while there in combat protecting us!

FOR EXAMPLE. My room mate served 18 months in S.Korea and then was transfered to IRAQ for 18 months with no leave time inbetween. He is now home and this is how he feels. He constantly hears the ignorance of american citizens bashing the Bush admin/the war. Saying were wrong, what were doing is wrong and so on.. Well how would that make you feel? These men and wemon are risking there lives daily over there and there are still people over here talking **** about them. We should support our troops 100%. Not just say oh we care about them thats why we want them out, well the fact of the matter is something is being accomplished, so why be negative?
