im thinking no.. the guy is womenizer, druk,and has an ego the size of houston.

Captain Kirk was the role model for John Kerry. If you watch the old Star Treks, Kirk was constantly leaving his post as commander of the ship and going on away missions. As a result, he was quite often not on board when the ship came under enemy attack.

That is totally wrong and not how things are done in the Navy. Kerry watched it and thought it was so when his boat came under fire, he also deserted his post and ran into the jungle.

Both should be court martialed, not given medals.

Laugh.....you've obviously never served.

I knew more Kirk types in the military than in the civilian world.

I don't view people having a Kirk mentality as a bad thing, by the way.

IF Kirk were in the military... he'd be spending a lot of money on uniforms... to replace all of those torn shirts!

Your description fits several soldiers I know.... and they are incredibly competent soldiers.
