Yes, area 51 does definately exist. It is situated in Groom Lake, Nevada.

Strangely, when you google earth it, it's just a piece of desert. Amazing how they can be so blatant about things. It's a clever trick to hide a 2 mile long runway!

Area 51 is a real place, and yes you can see it from Google Earth. It's location isn't a secret, so I suppose you could even see it in person (but from a very far off distance).

It did exist, but in 1990, when We went to war in the Gulf, we introduced our "New design" to the world ,our stealth Aircraft technology, which in fact where not new , but where secretly designed aircraft tested and modified since 1948. A Little History: In the Late 1940s the USAF built and flew some propeller driven and later jet driven "Flying Wing" aircraft, they where known to the public. What wasn't known was that these aircraft could not be picked up on radar very well, and that got the USAF egg heads thinking...So they "Officially " scrapped all the "flying wing Aircraft, and gave no reason, they where just gone, "officially" that was the press release. Well then, they started modifying and testing them in the Desert, and people by 1948/49 started reporting strange flying objects , "Unidentified" flying objects(UFO"S), "Unidentied" don't mean there from outer space, it just means people don't know what it is. so the USAF started program blue book, which documented everything people saw. This was just a cover for the real clandestine testing of these bizarre aircraft. sighting went on for 40 yers, 85% over the Area known as Area 51, by UFo enthusiast who believed they where secret travelers from outer space. well in 1990, when the gulf war started, project blue book had just closed , and the "Stealth bomber and fighter" modernized flying wing aircraft where soaring the skies over Iraq and Kuwait. UFO sightings since 1990 are all but non existant. But hard shell UFO Junkies, just can't except a simple truth of a government secretly testing aircraft, to them it's easier to believe aliens travel here as some kind of vacation spot to mutilate cattle and probe lonely old woman. Area 51 was the test area for those aircraft, you can't let your enemies know everything your developing, so the UFO believers provided a great cover story for the USAF, (thanx!). nuff said

Area 51 is rumoured to be in Groom Lake, Nevade, I believe it exists, also, it does show on Google Earth, though much of the structure is subterranian.

There is also rumoured to be an Area 52, though this is not confirmed.

you can see it in google earth. massive facility with many runways including 2 massive ones, and some wierd lines!

Yes it does exist, my brother in law 23yrs in RAF took a trip out there with a couple of mates whilst on a posting in the US and nearly got arrested for being to close to the perimiter fence. They only got away with it because they showed their ID Not sure if you would see it on google Earth, doubt it would be visible, think it would be blocked

you have to ask yourself, if you was in charge of the biggest millitary organisation, would you want everyone to know what your doing and where your doing it?

so course there is an "area 52", and i'm sure that there are many other secret facilities around the world owned by the US, just edited from google earth and other maps for obvious reasons.
