to the people that didn't like my solution to suicide bombers, What is your solution?

Do you understand how ruthless they are? how do you combat that? these people have the same mentality of the terrorists of 911. Leaving Iraq will not stop it. Terrorist right now are planning or have planned attacks against us and got caught. I sincerely want to know what your solution is?

I think the solution to terrorist attacks such as suicide bombing or the 9/11 hijackings is deterence.

You have to take something that is vital to the terrorists' agenda, and destroy it in response to their attacks, and escalate the destruction with each new attack until they realize that they are hurting thier own cause rather than helping it.

Al Qaeda, for instance wants the west out of the middle east, and wants a unified, world-conquering Muslim Caliphate. So a good response to a major Al Qaeda terrorist attack would be to /increase/ the western presence in the middle east. Another good one would be to destroy some of what you need for a Muslim Caliphate: Muslims. Millions of them.

Yes, I'm saying the way to defend against islamist terrorist attacks is the same thing that defended the USA & USSR from nuclear attack by eachother - threat of anihilation.

I didnt see the other solution but if you think they are a suicide bomber shoot them in the head right there on the spot. Dont go running after them or trying to arrest them just kill them.

There is no real 100% answer to the individual who is willing to give up his life to take others. I think it was Lincoln who said their is no protection from a man who will give his life to take mine. Until such time as we have a real science of psychiatry (as opposed to the series of organized guesses we have not) there is no answer to suicide bombers or school shooters or people who chose death by cop and want to take others with them.

you cant stop a suicide bombers unless you know who they are... let face it people just look at where the most of them come from... pretty easy answer and i don't care if upsets anyone its true if.... If i was the one who own the airplanes or boats they would get on one ever.... no plane coming from that part of country allow to fly here.... on one that look like they are from that part of the country allow in this country ever... yes i know sounds bad but is only one way to stop one from get here and that is not to let them fly on any plane or drive any car here or there.. let them walk and blow up all they want just we should move back and let them kill themselves...they have been doing for hundreds of years now who you think is going to stop that. we should just keep them where they are and that no you cant fly here and no you cant get on the boat . listen we are fighting a losing Battle one we cant win we would be better off in defending our country here on our ground

I really dont think there is a solution...these people have a one mind set kinda attitude...and kids are being recruited younger and younger to learn to die to kill as many ppl as they can...they are brainwashed at such a young age...that i don't think there is a logical solution to stopping these terrorist

Libs don't understand, they think this is all some kind of game. Well it's NOT libs! You can't just cut and run! Like when my father took me out hunting, and he stepped on this beehive. Bees were all over the place, stinging us something fierce, but did we get out of there? Hell No! We just fired our guns into the hive and swatted at the bees all day long. Sure we could have just sprinted to the lake and jumped in, or just stopped kicking the hive... but there's no HONOR in that! Sure my father might have survived the encounter with 6,000 less bee stings had he just admitted that stepping on the bee hive was a mistake, but no! We don't cut and run, no sireeee. Sometimes you're just covered with 6,000 stinging bees with an allergy and the only option left is to just stand there and let them sting your eyeballs.

My solution is that the US stop being so arrogant for starters. Our boasts are only challenges to the rest of the world. Second, we need to gradually pull our troops out of the middle east and set up better security on our homefront to prevent further attacks. Third we need to establish a better rapport with the UN and re-establish our allies. We lost a lot of support when we entered the war the way we did. Third, we need to let the new Iraqi government accept the reponsibilities set forth for them. Our presence in their country puts us and their government at risk. It's imposible to stop a suicide bomber but we can take messures not to encourage it. Look at the terrorism goin on in our own country. Looting in New Orleans, riots in LA, the Unibomber. We have terrorism in our own country. How can we honestly tell another country what to do with their terrorist when we can't even settle our own? It's not about honor it's about doing what is right. I would rather die in peace with a clean concience than in war with blood on my hands. You fight to protect not for honor. People with death on their minds are no better than terrorists. Both seek to destroy a particular group instead of protecting their own people.
