Interesting…...
Regardless of where you stand on the issue of the U.S. involvement in Iraq, here's a sobering statistic. There has been a monthly average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theatre of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 2,867 deaths. That gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.

The firearm death rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000 persons for the same period. That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in the U.S. Capital than you are in Iraq.

Conclusion: The U.S. should pull out of Washington.

The supporters of American soldiers in Iraq have rallied, and one woman was interviewed on TV says "We have to stop bashing the American soldier in Iraq, we have to support them". I think this is a wrong statement.
I don't see or hear anyone bashing the American soldiers in Iraq. What the people are saying is, what George Bush's decision to go to war in Iraq is a wrong one and he has to be blame for the soldiers dying there.
But, anyway, anyone of you (yahoo readers)will bash the American soldier in Iraq?

During the Civil war, the Confederates didn't want to be a part of the USA, and took up arms against American soldiers. In my mind every man who sided with the Confederacy , wore a uniform of the Confederacy and took up arms against American (Union) soldiers were traitors and terrorists. I'm amazed how anyone could call Robert E Lee or Jefferson Davis 'American heroes'. These men were the Osama Bin ladnes of thier time- scum who took delight in killing Americans. HOW can anyone not feel shame or disgust when thinking about the Condeferacy? The Confederate flag is as vile and offensive as the Nazi flag...

I heard that "Letters... was being shown in Japan but "Flags.. is not because it's too "controversial". Is this true? If so, I thought that Japan was supposed to be a democracy. Also, if true. why is there no indignation from the Hollywood politicos?

find a way to equip all soldiers with QuikClot ACS? (the sponge that stops bleeding and is supposed to help even when you have severed arteries) I had seen this product before my husband's deployment and thought that it was a good idea. I wonder how many people could have had their limbs or lives saved if someone around them had this product. I looked on their website and with the products being $30-$60 a piece I think that would be money well spent. I just wonder what everyone thinks about this. Thanks! ;-)

They are trying to keep the count low, A soilder that is wounded in combat and is in transport to medical treatment facilities are not counted as a fatality unless they die in Iraq or Afghanistan, If they are stateside, Germany or over international airspace in route to medical care and pass away, they are not counted as war fatalities!
The real count is 3 times higher than stated!

As a Sgt. Maj. from both Gulf wars I can tell you that people like her should be ashamed of themselves. I have seen alot of good soldiers die and this is the thanks these kids get. Protests from people who have no clue what is going on over there. These men are dying at the hands of people who hate everything we as Americans stand for.Shame on you anti-war activists.
