Speaking for the Navy, no. Sailors don't need too much training in combat survival tactics anymore, unless they will be deployed with the Marines (i.e., corpsmen, Naval Gunnery Spotters, etc.). That's not to say that sailors don't receive survival training, just not in boot camp like the Marines do. Usually a sailor will get survival training when they go into any aircrew rates (JEST - Jungle Environmental Survival Training and SERE - Survival Escape Resistance and Evasion), Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and or BUDS/SEAL training.

In a word, 'NO'. I can only speak for AF basic training circa 1980 from personal experience, but it's still not much better now. At this time, AF Basic Trainees have 'Hell Week' where they have to run around in the woods, eat MRE's, qualify with the M-16 but as for how to 'survive in a combat environment', it's just not covered for the rank and file. The nature of our mission just doesn't require it. Now, there are Special Units within the AF but that's another story....

Depends on the military, In the Canadian forces everyone takes the same basic training for NCM's no matter what trade or branch. Which includes a few long humps and basic fieldcraft.
