Like Orion, I think the best friends the terrorists have is the American media. Some dumba** blows himself and several others to kingdom come, and the media jumps all over it. Sensationalism sells advertising. Simple fact of life. Far too many Americans enjoy their National Inquirer type of entertainment. It has been aptly called "the dumbing down of America". Besides which, the muslims and islam have done an admirable job of making fools of themselves without much help from anyone.

The exact opposite. The American media is one of only two effective weapons Islamic terrorists HAVE against the US and the West. It's their best force multiplier and their only hope.
I suppose that gives a really bad image to the non-Terrorist supporting muslims (all fifty of them), so perhaps you're right...

Islam is a reliogion with 1.5 billion people.
That's five times the total population of the US.
To think that US media has had any effect on the worldwide Muslim population, or that it ever could, is naive.
