He wants a war though and Congress might be difficult

So is his new mission provoking them to start one ?

my son just graduated form basic traing at fort benning and is on his way to fort wainwright.What can he expect besides cold weather,I heard housing is on a waiting list he also has a wife and baby.he is trying to get a pass to come home because the baby was born premature and is still in the hospital,what are his chances of coming home.

My husband is leaving March 26 for boot camp. We were told by hus recruiter that he would receive BAH and seperation allowance while he is gone. Is this true? I know the BAH is true but I am unsure about the separation pay since he is not leaving on a deployment. Any answers?? Thanks so much.

such as is it best to fire with one eye open or two, is it better to fire when your breathed all your air out or halfway. Also as I am a tall person 6ft 7 to be exact i always find firing from the kneeling position a bit of a challenge so any tips on how 2 get more comfortable? and yes I do know my markmanship principles and nothing in the army is meant to be comfortable.

Any suggestions?
So i'm 20, and thus far in life I have been academically suspended from a university, and now I need a new start. I'm going to a community college to make up some credits, and if i pass them all I can go back to the previous university its so small and highs chool like. The thing is I don't want to go back there, nor do i want to spend another 3 years in college...i'm about 2 years from graduating, and could finish sooner with summer school! I'm considering the military to serve my country while start over, but i know once i do that there is no turning back for four years! any advice?

I saw the news reports about the conditions at that VA hospital. What an embarrasment. As a healthcare professional I've seen and heard about cases of our veterans getting substandard care for years. Whether we agree with the war or not these guys deserve the best care money can buy for putting their lives on the line for us.

Your best source will be to go out and talk to some of them.

Alright, here's my situation.

I've read alot about not being able to join the Military with a background of Asthma. That is, if you have had Asthma after you were 12 or 13 years of age. But if it was before that age, and you don't have it now, then you're ok (in most cases). Here's my case..

I'm a male, 20 Years old, and I had Asthma [according to my doctor] when I was about 15-16. Around that same time I had a pet cat. While I was diagnosed of having Asthma, I never once had an Asthma attack, just kind of a 'foggy' chest feeling sometimes. About a year of using that, I went to another doctor, was told I was allergic to cats. I got rid of my cat, then ditched the Inhaler, because I felt I didn't need it anymore, because I didn't have much trouble breathing after that. So I don't know if it was a small case of Asthma, or I was allergic to cats.

Can I still join the Army?

I have three questions.

1. If you are stationed in a base near an expensive coastal area like California, and you have to wait in line for base housing, how do new enlisted people live? Do they have to live miles away in a dangerous ghetto area because their housing allowance is usually low?

2. How long do Navy e1's married w/ kids have to wait in line for base housing?

3. It the housing allowance usually lousy or good being married with dependents?

I went to MEPS to sign my contract, and swear in a month ago. I am scheduled to leave for Basic on June 26. A week after I sworein, my recruiter called me and said MEPS, noticed I have a warrant for unfinished community service for a theft under $300 charge from 10 years ago. My recruiters and I have gotten in touch w/ the court house, and central processing station, and police stations, and everyone who checks for me says there is no warrant out on me, or nothing, but I do know that I was charged for that crime, I just don't know why MEPS shows it, but no one else does. Well my recruiter made me write a hand written statement, explaining what happened that day I got caught stealing a few cd's, and then he said he will turn in my statement, w/ the disposition reports stating that I have no warrant to his chief to try to get a waiver. What are the possibilities I get in/or disqualified from still leaving for basic in June??

I am currently living out of my car and barely making it from day to day. I have come to the point that I hate to come to be I am thinking of joining the military. I have no family, and let me say I am using a library computer right now. I would like if you maybe could give me some advice on what you would do in this type of situation?
