I have heard about people who can resist torture. Apparently this is something that you can learn. Is this really possible, and if so how is it done?

Torture had become some sort of a science. Many clandestine organizations, police organizations, and even the military of some governments had spent countless studies on how to make the most effective use of torture to extract information. It includes the study of the physical anatomy of the human body, identifying those parts of the body which are most susceptible to greatest pain. Torture techniques were also developed to inflict the greatest pain without leaving any mark or trace of any body injury, where any later accusations or allegations by a torture victim during an investigation can be conveniently denied by the perpetrators. The study of torture techniques also involve the use of psychology and behavioral sciences in order to manipulate and condition the mindset of the victim in order to extract confessions without the need of inflicting bodily harm.

Sad to say that with the use of today's modern torture techniques, the probability that a person will be able to withstand and successfully resist torture is close to zero percent. The only case where no useful information can be extracted from the victim is when such victim really doesn't know anything.

Contrary to one poster's suggestion that you can concoct a lie and stick to your story regardless what happens, as if your life depended on it simply wouldn't work. Skilled perpetrators of torture are always patient and ask questions like prosecution lawyers do, in addition to their physical brutality. They will ask seemingly unrelated questions, or ask the same question at different times in various forms and contexts. Sooner or later, they will be able to piece together all your answers and eventually find out if you're lying or not, based on the consistency and credibility of your answers.

The Gestapo of Nazi Germany were the first to practice scientific torture. They were very good in doing it. They were also very good in evading it (by keeping a glass capsule of cyanide wedged between their gums and teeth at all times, then immediately crush it by chewing and swallowing upon capture).

To torture someone is the most Evil act anyone can perform on another. The fact that it has been commonly used throughout the centuries of mans existence shows that we haven't seen that. In Britain during the medieval times, they used all the barbaric torturing practices. This was only a real short time after the supposed existence of Christ. And some of the practices were perpetrated on ones to make them deny God. Man endured incredible pains and eventual death in not wanting to deny God. These would have been the worse times ever for mankind. The whole idea of one torturing another even today is absolutely unbelievably unacceptable to one's with intellegence and love. What is needed to change this, is knowlege of who we are and what our purpose is. An acceptance of this whole life experience as being the incredible miricle it is. Unfortuately, all mans, knowlege and intellegence hasn't given us that yet, even in this century, with all of it's scientific knowlege and understanding, we still live as barbarians, treating life as a throw away commodity. Only by the spiritual path will ones come to learn the value of all life. Unfortunately all of mans other paths lead to selfish, ignorance of the true beauty that life is. As to whether you should confess under torture, well that i would have to experience before i could say, but my ways are, be in the world, but NO part of it. Don't join up with any of your countries missions to overthrow other powers. If leaders want to fight, then let them do their own fighting. Someone can put a gun in your hand, but only you can pull the trigger.

The best way to resist torture is to lie. Then stick to that lie like your life depends on it. It also helps to give the torturer info that while he is hoping to hear is totally bogus. Thus he hears what he wants to hear and you are saved unnecessary punishment. You can also desensitize your self to pain by experiencing it daily in a controlled fashion like burning your finger with a match every day will make you more tolerant of fire or shocking yourself will make you more tolerant of electro shock torture.

You do not resist torture forever.

Sure, some last longer than others...but all break. The physical pain, the emotional pains and the psychological pain they inflict is unbearable. In time, you will tell all you know.

No everyone breaks. Given enough time and pain everyone will give in. If after a couple weeks of hard torture you are still alive you will tell them everything they want to know.

The trick is learning when to hold and when to fold. Think of it as if you were playing poker with the person interrogating you. Simply put, a lie at the wrong time will do you no good.
Remember also that anything of value that you know will probably be of no value after 72 hours.

Plug your ears and not let hillary clinton's shrill cry drive you crazy.

Let's elect hillary and have another clinton make a joke out of the whitehouse.

You resist it by not being captured.

But if you do get captured, you will eventually tell them what they want to hear.

You use a vulcan mind meld and give your pain to the torturer.

Turn yourself into a masochist and enjoy it.
