We invaded, destroyed 100's of acres of land... killed milions of vietnamese, and made them loose milions and milions of dollars... we only lost 50,000 troops how is that a loss? Yeh we dindt get anything accomplished... but when ever does a war accomplish anything other then complete slaughter of the other country or freeing a country..? Please explain this to me why everyone beleives we lost vietnam... because i personally beleive we kicked their as ses for a while n got sick of it so we left... we didnt get forced to leave or anything... give me your thoughts

Many people are arguing that the people who protested the Vietnam War were wrong to do so, that implies that the war was right. So if it was right then, its right now, right? Given that you believe the Vietnam War was right, should the US start the war against Vietnam again, or not? Why or why not?

I'm writing an essay about how we can learn from our actions in World War 2 and apply them to our current situation in Iraq. One of my points is how enthusiastic the people are about the war they're involved in and how it affects the outcome. So, were Americans unhappy with the U.S.'s involvement in the 1940s as they were in Vietnam in the 1970s and Iraq now? If not, what was the general attitude?
