Yes, I use it. Sort of funny the schools would ban it, have you seen their textbooks ? People should use more than one source and they do have links at the bottom of the page to go to.

Considering anyone with a brain can pick out opinions on that site, and the site uses a heavy amount of references, it is the most detailed database of reference information out there at the moment, and growing. Who would not want to use it? Almost every article on there has definitive information, so what exactly is the issue here?

Generally the information i have looked up was for clarification and I have found that the items i have looked for have been acturate, maybe a little out of date but not completely wrong.

I do for personal reasons, but I don't use it to cite. It is often erroneous and not a real resource. A college students should not be quoting from an encyclopedia anyway. It is not a real source.

I like to go there but I realize it is basically edited by anyone. I'm careful what I read, taking nothing for gospel fact.

No.
What is on Wikipedia is total speculation. Anyone who takes what is on there as fact is kidding themselves.
When someone quotes their source as Wikipedia I just laugh at them.

Wikipedia is one of my favorite sites for answers to quick questions. How do they know that the information is wrong?

It's a good first reference, but not citeable.
Also, you posted in the wrong section. This belongs in Computers & Internet - not military.
