does the PT test that the recruiter gives you count for prior service whether or not you enter the militatry?

oh its to the army... thay are the olny ones that have a WTC

The PT test is required before you go to WTC but it will not count as a record PT test for your current unit or service.

Yes it counts, you need to pass it. It is a required test prior to shipping out to boot camp to prove that you can pass the test before getting to basic training. Too many people were failing out of boot camp for failing the PRT so they now mandate that all candidate pass the test first so they don't ship anymore people with PRT issues to boot camp and waste the governments money by having to discharge them and send them back home. All branches do this, not just the Army.

No. Unless you enlist and complete basic training successfully, nothing counts.
