A good conclusion on a civil war story?

In class we are writing about civil war the girls are duing the battle of bull run and i dont know how to conclude it i need a good conclution. i go to laurll mountain anyone go there?

As the sun slipped behind the trees , the gunshots & cannon blasts became scattered & few. As dusk settled in the two men clad in union blue worked their way toward the edge of the encampment.

A few more minutes & they would have the surrounding greenery to mask their retreat . Time was critical if they were to get the pilfered strategic plans to General Lee by darkfall so he could affect the sneak attack facilitated by these daring confederate spys.
