I'm 17 and my father went to the Marines in ROK and ever since I was young I wanted to join the Marines. Right now I am unfit and I can barely run. I want to join really bad and the question is will they accpet me then train me or do you have to take a test before you can go to camp? Is there some sort of requirement to go in? Example like do 50 push ups??? I can start training now but i want to know what to train for. Please provide much info as possible. I am a complete beginner at this.

True there was insurgency in Mizoram at that time. But there were no military targets in Aizawl. So why were they bombing it for two days? Those who suffered were peaceful civilians. Isn't this the kind of thing Saddam Hussein was guilty of?

And to top that, Indira Gandhi denied the bombing even took place, saying the planes only dropped rations and supplies. Well, those rations must have been extra spicy coz the whole place burned down.

Please include stories of naval bootcamp and talk about seamanship, ways to advance, your rate, freetime, and education. I signed up and I am excited, my rate is in AECF but I chose ET because it is practical in terms of civilian jobs (no guns in civilian). Yah I askin all the active and veteran sailors. Thanks

What are things we'll do? Will there be any competitions? What kinds? What happens if you do very well or very poorly? I'd just like an overall gist of Basic Training....oh. For the Guard if it matters.

I have a friend who has been talking about going into the Air Force. He's actually going to talk to a recruiter tommorrow. I just have a few questions, well, actually alot. He's thinking about MP or maybe mechanic. He knows he can't sign real quick because he has to get his GED first. He's got a child and him and the mother are still close. I would like to be able to give him some advice, but I have no idea what to tell him. He's actually considered the Navy too. I'm totally clueless about the military and thought you guys could help. Anything you can tell me would be great like where BT is, where he could be stationed, when deployed where he might go. Just anything...... thanks!

I want to join the Coast Guard but in the mean time, I need an associates degree so that I can go to a good college once I'm out. I have heard that they pay for school while you are in the service but is it even possible to go to school during that time?
