Obviously it affected support in a critical and severe way. Think about it: most people think that making a person pose naked is morally equivalent to chopping heads off of humanitarian aid workers.
That is EXACTLY what ended up happening. Our "torture" became the same as their torture. Think of how foolish and wrong that is. But that was the result. It was a horrible mistake for that silly frat house prank stuff to be going on. Did it hurt any prisoners? Of course not. But public relations wise it was a catastrophe.

Torture and humiliation are two very different things. Japanese did torture, Islamics do torture. If what they did at Abu was indeed torture, how come only what one or two died from it? Battaan death march, lopping off heads on the internet? Rethink before you post next time.
