i feel it is only creating more dissidents. a majority of the population already doesn't trust the government, on top of the current administration's broad misuse of power, coupled with their predefined track record of lying. The youth of America is more determined to seek information and the more that is discovered about what's going on day to day the more we become infuriated. This previous generation has just thrown the world into the toilet. Slowly but surely we are taking control, green energy is becoming a household name, hybrids and ULEV's are more commonplace on the roads. There's still time for us to right the wrongs, and if its gonna happen it'll be our generation that does it. That's if the world will wait for our chance. So perhaps its not all in vein. I love the ideals of this country, but not the way things are shaping up. Freedom's shouldn't have to be exchanged for a false sense of security.

In reality Most of the Youth are Backing our Troops. Many are sad for their fathers and mothers have to leave to fight. Most Kids understand why America is fighting in Iraq than most Adults do. I grew up during the Vietnam War. I served during the Grenada Invassion, Panama Invassion and Desert Storm. If my Health was better, I would gone back for Iraqi Freedom. When you are around the Kids, Listen to them, You can tell. Yes if the parent is an anti war, they will be too, but that sad enough there. To bad people are listening to the Lies the Democrats has spread.

Well my husband is serving in Iraq right now and our 10 year old son understands why he has to be there and away from us. It's by no means easy but we have to stay strong. I agree with a response from another member who said that it all depends on the parents opinions. If the parent is anti war and anti bush and anti everything then more then likely the child will adapt to that way of thinking as well. I don't like that the war is still going on but this is my husbands job and we have to make that sacrifice so that we all can have the opportunity to sit and enjoy our freedom's back here. As long as I stay positive and reassuring and supportive of my husband my children will stay positive as well.

It is not. Think about it. The war in Iraq has virtually no effect on the majority of the American people.
Besides - there is no 'occupation' of Iraq. The elected Iraqi government is free to ask us to leave any time they wish.

My son plays video games about war and they massacre the bad guys and if they get hurt themselves , he just hits the reset button and starts over. Now he wants to go to Iraq and kill bad guys not knowing the real difference.
