Hey look man, im using the library too, im poor and i know where youre comin from. The military is a very good option. When a grauate im thinkin of joining it myself.
But, id say if you want to have the ride of your life join the marines. My friends in that, he graduates in 3months!
Going to boot camp for 6weeks, some more training. And hes getting treated very good!
You get planty of benefits!
My cousin was in it too!
Although he got out, he says they make you tough!
You get to live in the bunkers, maybe travel the world.
You get medical benefits too.
My other friends in the military also, ill email her to give you some info, so just come back in a few minutes, or days, (shes stationed in Oklahoma right now in the bunkers) but yeah in a couple days ill have it or ill email it too you.
But yeah man, either the Marine Corps or the Coast Guard!
Me personally id like the coast guard, born in FLA and love it here, i wouldnt mid patrolling the beautiful FLA Coast.
They give benefits too!
Hope this helped man!
The military is a noble thing, I have an ex-marine cousin, a friend going into the marines, a friends cousin in the air force, another ex-marine cousin, and a friend already on the marines! I might join the coast guard!
*Did you know the kill ratio in Iraq is only 1 soldier per 89 insurgents! so 1:89, thats so low! And plus Al Sadr's miltia is almost gone!
*Feel free to email me!!!!
*theres planty of other jobs available as well!!!!
The army has TONS AND TONS of jobs.
Every where from cooking to firing at tank!!!!!
And be careful what you sign. My cousin got a place he didnt like.
He wasnt careful and went in it too fast, so think over your options and talk about the possiblities. Think about it for a couple of weeks. All this is advice from people in the field!!!
When you make your decision contact a local recruiter, you can do that by looking at the sites i have provided for you below.
Personally i say Coast Guard man, they get to do all kinds of stuff. I know this crew that went from NYC all they way down to Puerto Rico!!!!! Aint that awesome!!!! Sail from NYC Harbor to the Caribbean!!!

The Air Force and the Navy are the 2 safest if you don't want to enter a combat zone. I spent 14 years in the Air Force and went to lots of different places.
Career note: DO NOT choose Open General (the military chooses for you). Take the ASVAB (military placement test) and let them tell you what your eligible for.
Talk to a recuiter to start. Don't sign ANYTHING until your sure you want to do this.
Go in with an open mind and you'll do fine.

Think about this....
Coast Guard.
You always get to live near the ocean. How much better can that be? You get to pick your "top 3" favorite locations where you might want to be stationed, and then there's a good chance that you get to move to that location. Key West...Hawaii...You name it...You may get lucky! Plus...the only guys you really have to worry about are the drug dealers. Check them out...if you're not afraid of water.
I wish you the best.
Your other option would be to find a job and a place to live. Get some food stamps..or whatever they'll give you to get started. Perhaps some education so you can get a job that might pay a little better.
Or check out Walmart that pays okay for a first job, and if you're smart enough, I'm sure you could go up the ranks pretty fast without a degree. You seem bright enough to go places with them, in my opinion. I believe Wallmart gives you health insurance too, but...fyi...they'll give a drug test before you're hired too.
Starbucks is another thought...since they give health insurance.
Hmm......Think about what your goals might be in life...what do you want out of life? Now...point yourself in that direction and go for it. You'll get there.
Smile...you'll do fine. Hang in there.

You can try the military, but remember that the life of a solider is to his duty, and his comrade's in arms. Talk to a recruiter about this and ask any one you know in the military how they feel. One thing you have to be a self stater in the military. No lagers in this kind of work. Second make sure you want to serve and not just find a place to lay your head down at night.

go to your local military recruiter's office and join the service if you are interested in a military career. The military can provide housing and education and employment opportunities for you. The military can provide a kind of family too.
My husband says the air force has the best food and golf courses.
The marines and navy require a difficult boot camp experience.
The army is fabulous for people who need a family and aren't confident about their reading and writing skills. Good luck to you and god bless you!!

The military might be a good option for you right now. It would give you a really good feeling to serve your country, an opportunity to make some good money, good friends, and good contacts for future jobs, along with developing more skills. You also have a good chance of coming home in one piece. Despite what you might hear on television, there is only a 0.0188% chance of death as a troop in Iraq. I support your decision, whatever it is and wish you the best of luck in your journey through life.

You should join because you can get extra schooling in for computers so you can get a really good job and plus you can actually move into a house instead of living in your car - how does that sound?

go for it man. you have at least one thing to look forward to. You are guaranteed to always have food to eat, and a place to sleep. and coming from where you're at, you'll enjoy it much more, knowing full and well, where you could have been without the military. not only that, a steady paycheck to boot.
